Tallima: Who else is humming a John Williams overture while browsing the front page?
Ah!
Around 2000 I was playing Jedi Knight (1 or 2) and it hit me that a BIG part of the environment in the game was the music. I then decided to go and buy the soundtracks only to discover that there were not many options and the ones that were available were quite expensive.
Not even a month later, I found great versions available on Walmart. Double CDs, super cheap. They were imported from Germany, by the way.
:-)
So I'm thinking about getting one of the strategy related titles from this wave. Any recommendations? (Or which one is the best?)

I've only played Rebellion, and despite my honest-to-god joy and instant purchase, it gets a solid 3 out of 5 from me. If you love SW (and I'm guessing you do) and you're not picky on your 4x being top-tier, it's a blast. If you've never played a 4x, then you won't even know what to be disappointed about! It's one of the few games that was always a weekend-devourer back when I would occasionally reinstall. Helped that the game came out right around when I was first really getting into SW in the first place.

For $6 it's a flawed gem. I doubt you'd be unhappy with the purchase, but I'm not gonna fanboy out on it and say you'd be making a mistake by buying a different one.
Just cannot wait until Wave III aka the Wave of Mutilation. :P
Is there more games coming from this second wave of is this the last of the Wave II?

tomimt: I'm tad disappointed that it was yet more SW games. I was hoping for adventure release. Oh well, maybe next week then.

Soccorro: Outlaws...
Well that too.
All added to wishlist. =)

3 more on Tuesday.
It's great to see Star Wars games, it's huge for GOG and for all gamers.

Although I'd love to see Maniac Mansion, Zak McKraken, Loom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Full Throttle, The Dig, more Monkey Island games, and Day of the Tentacle (I think we'll get remake of DOTT).

Never played Rebellion, but if you like the Command & Conquer games then Empire at War is a must (Petroglyph, EaW devs, was funded by ex-Westwood devs, who worked in the C&C series)

He meant "mutilación" :P
Can't wait for Tuesday. So far, I've bought every Star Wars title on GOG except Dark Forces. I hope the part 3 of Wave II contains the Jedi Knight games, Republic Commando, the original Battlefront, and/or The Force Unleashed. Those are the ones I can think of off of the top of my head.

Almost. See my (current) title for what I'm humming.

You forgot Shadows of the Empire. :)
With Rogue Squadron here now, I might actually break my rule about holding off until we've seen the full hand. Thanks, GOG.
