January 20:
A long time ago in a galaxy near you, ©Disney Interactive and GOG.com teamed up to bring you the holy grail of classic gaming: six Lucasfilm cult-classics were added to our DRM-free catalog, including three titles which saw their digital premiere on GOG.com. We also made a promise to bring you many more cult-classics in the future and, believe us, we did not forget.

Today, with great pride and joy, we're excited to announce Wave II of Lucasfilm games on GOG.com! Starting right now, six new Star Wars™ classics are available in our DRM-free Lucasfilm/Disney catalog. This includes three amazing titles available, for the first time in digital distribution, exclusively on GOG.com:
Star Wars™: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™: X-Wing Alliance™ - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!
Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds Saga - digital distribution debut, on GOG.com!

Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords™

Just in case you missed your chance last time, you can grab three more Lucasfilm classics for the same 20% discount, until Friday, January 30, at 1:59 PM GMT!
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™
Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis™
The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition

Our Lucasfilm/Disney is made that much more impressive today thanks to our team-up with ©Disney Interactive. Bought Xwing vs TieFighter, XWing Alliance and Dark Forces. Hoping for Outlaws with the 2.0 upgrade and Dark Forces 2. Keep Lucas Arts titles coming GOG, we'll find good homes for them :-)
Well, since the email confirmed that Thursday is going to be another Star Wars blitz (sounds like I was right about them not getting any more adventure games), I'm predicting Jedi Knight + MotS, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, Republic Commando, Empire at War Gold and Starfighter.

Breja: If only we could get some Star Trek games to balance things out :) Just imagine release day like that with Bridge Commander, Final Unity, Borg, Armada, Elite Force and Away Team.
Now that would be something!
*waits for the countdown*

I'm not a Star Wars fan so... I'll snatch those when in a discount. :-P
Not sure if I can still handle Death Star II's run in X-Wing Alliance today. It took me nearly a day to complete the blasted run because I kept dying and have to restart. 15 years later, my reflexes aren't as quick as back then.

vicklemos: See?! :P
Oh bite me :D I've been waiting to play A Final Unity and Borg for years. It's like two lost episodes of The Next Generation I've never seen. I'll take every oportunity to draw attention to bringing them to GOG.

Alliance has a trench run? XD

Jesus it's been a while, that and almost every SW game ever made has a trench run so it gets a little hard to remember which is which. :P

Bought them all to bring my GOG library up to a rather impressive 291 games.
I hope there are some adventure games in the next batch, would really like modern editions of the third and fourth Monkey Island games.
Might pick up KOTOR2 (having just been given some birthday dosh) - does it hold up well as a sequel / second installment?
All i am saying

is give COMI and DOTT and Zak and "gasp" ""gasp" MI2 and "gaaaaasp" Full Throttle a chance

but n1 (that means nice in my language)

Nanu nanu and have fun!

EnforcerSunWoo: Wouldn't hurt my feelings to see stuff like Outlaws, Afterlife, and a few of the adventure titles after the 48 hours is up.
I am all for a release of Outlaws. That was one of the best shooters of it's type and day.

yyahoo: Quoted from the release post: :)

"Just in case you missed your chance last time, you can grab three more Lucasfilm classics for the same 20% discount, until Friday, January 30, at 1:59 PM GMT!
Star Wars™ Knights of the Old Republic™
Indiana Jones® and the Fate of Atlantis™
The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition "

Grargar: That's not what I meant. The Secret of Monkey Island and KotOR had a base price of $12.49. Now, their base price is $9.99.
That is certainly very cool too
avatar
Johnmourby: But I don't think I want to buy 2 Sci-Fi RTS game at once. So shoud I go for GBS or Infested Planet?
Both. I will do the same :)
Announcement: today I'm officially assuming the role of "spoilsport"! :P

Great day for any Star Wars fan, but personally none of those titles catch my eye. I would have preferred to see the Lucasarts' adventure classics (the remaining Moneky Island ttiles, Full Throttle, The Dig, Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, The Last Crusade...), but I guess there is still time for those. One cannot have everything all at once! I'm already satisfied with Grim Fandango.
With my maximum respect for the franchise, I still hope that in the next batches there will be less Star Wars.
