micktiegs_8: Wait, it's the same thing??
It's the Restoration Mod, that's what you need. And it's the same as the mod installed by steam.
I am honestly starting to think that PC gaming is not about PLAYING games, it is about buying them on sale. It is all people seem to care about these days.
I'm still waiting for the remaining LucasArts Adventure games to come to GOG. ( :

To play a game you have to buy it. If you save money by buying cheaper, you can buy more games. If you buy more games, you can play more games. So in the end it's still about playing games. At least that's the simple math I go by. Maybe for some watching for sales and buying stuff is fun in itself, I don't know. I'd love to have enough money to not give a rat's ass about sales.

If you really want a game, if it is truly that good, the price for those games listed above are worth every penny. If they're not, stop complaining and go play something that is.

I think that somehow you're right. This year i played the most games that i bought with only a slight or no discount: Pillars of Eternity and The Witcher 3. Besides these 2 i bought literally hundreds of games most of which i haven't even downloaded.

First of all, I'm not complaining. I don't even know where you got that idea. I've just stated that saving money is a good idea.

Second, I never said these games are not worth the asking price. But I still have a lot of games to play, so why would I buy them now, if I can wait and get them, and others, cheaper. I don't know why you're suddenly getting so worked up about this, I was neither irrational nor hostile. Am I supposed to apologise for having to be reasonable with my expenses?

I never said you were complaining. :S There is a difference in waiting because you already have a big catalogue and simply not buying it til it goes on sale.

With all the bundles and cheap sales it's hard to be without a huge backlog if you play as seldom as some of us do. My average play time lately for example is around 5 hours/week or about 250-300 hours a year. I'm not sure how long it took to almost beat The Witcher 3 (I'm close but not yet there), but i haven't played anything else since May on my main laptop.

I really want star wars episode 1: racer game on gog.

It was released more than a decade ago at a time when there was no drm.
i thought of getting dark forces 2, but not 100% sure it would work for my notebook. DF1 sounds mediocre according to doom fans.

Galactic Battlegrounds Saga might be too buggy for me. that and i'm not crazy about RTS games thesedays. won't buy anymore unless there's a deep discount.

Was also wondering... seems a well established patern. Once the euphoria of having new publisher on board is gione, the partnerships slips into some for of stasis.

Welcome in our consumerist century ! Buying things we don't need because we can buy them, while at the same time bypassing things we need because it's not "a priority".

It's really weird how unreliable GOG seems to be in that respect. I mean, I still don't know why such games from Daedalic like Fire and Munin aren't here, since most of Daedalic's games do come to GOG. And so I can't begin to guess if new stuff like Bounty Train and Valhalla Hills will come to GOG once it's properly out, or not.
