I backed it sometime ago. Playing the early access on steam which is 99% complete short of the final boss which will be released on release date. Anyone playing it?

You walk around in isometric 2D, fight in first person 3D turn-based combat. Kinda like a mix of M&M and Wizardry. Art is attractive and consistent. Gameplay is deep, fun and engaging. No visual hints on where lootables are, door triggers, quest objectives etc are not "handed" to you, they come in clues and dialogue like in Divinity Original Sin. Stats and leveling up are something you need prior consideration for. The world is detailed and split into several regions. Each regions come with their own monsters and quests and might consist of various dungeons. Combat is particularly challenging. UI looks great which they recently changed. I'm having the epic RPG feeling playing the game. 26 hours in and I'm at level 12 and I think I've seen only the first 2 starting regions completely which is probably less than 1/8s of the game. They got $35K in funding on KS, I think it's bloody amazing that they come out with the a game with a scope like this.

Not sure whether it's coming to GOG, but I really hope they bring it here.
According to their Kickstarter page, it is coming to GoG :)

Ah, very good to know. Good to be a backer.
The art is very pretty and ... Is it a mix of isometric exploration and 'first person' combat? (heh, just read the OP. It is. Cool.) 'Cause that looks really cool.

Turn-based first person combat like in Might and Magic. I might even like this more than the recent MMX.
Here are the classes.

I like how the game handles random encounters. It works like Final Fantasy; you get ambushed by the enemy and you have the option to try flee or fight it out. Except the encounters are all finite in any region and eventually you'll clear them all. And if you do, you'll get a XP boost and a congratulatory window.

I own it and was going to write a thread on this game yesterday, as I was surprised that there wasn't a thread dedicated to it already. I am waiting for the final update before giving it a whirl. It looks like a brilliant game, and one of the only things I have purchased non-discounted as I like to support endeavours such as this game.

I look forward to seeing it released on GOG :)
does it have random encounters and grinding ?

if so im sadly not interested cause those are the banes of my life in rpg's

Check my post above. The random encounters are finite and you can kill them all.

gotta kill em all

...hmmm

might be interested
Yeah, if you're a RPG-OCD player like me then you'll probably just grind the random encounters till they finish.

Also the game is very cheap considering the scope. Probably around the same price right now like when I backed it. Wished I backed for the boxed version.

Random encounters(annoying next door neighbor trying to talk to you) and grinding(shitty job) is what makes real life the worst RPG ever so I completely understand. That is why RPGs like Baldur's Gate 2 have a special place in my heart. No random encounters and grinding.

I bought it on Steam a while ago, should have waited for the gog version since I haven't played it much anyway. The bits I played I very much enjoyed, was just waiting for it to be finished before giving it a proper try.
