Blondwyn: I'm exploring gaming, education and humanitarianism.
I'm looking for names of games for me to play and analyse from a design perspective.
I am not a gamer but could do with some help if any of you out there wouldn't mind sharing feedback on some of these games if they exist.
I'm hoping to find some with deep entrenched learning rather than a shallow experience.
That normally happens with problem solving and collaboration of players.
Any one want to share or give me some tips what to try?
On the danger of me replying to a bot here...here's a game that imho fits your request perfectly:
https://www.gog.com/game/brothers_a_tale_of_two_sons

It fits the humanitary aspect 100%, because it's about two brothers that go on a journey together, to save their father's life.
It's about problem solving.
It can be played by two players collaborating...if the two are willing to share one controller (playing it that way might be a little uncomfortable, though). But it is meant to be played by one player only.
What's more humanitarian than city management?

No really, Sim City and Sim Earth were used as educational tools, and Sim City is open source, after all.

The Sim City 2000 manual also goes into the human element of city building too.

Study Dota 2 for a glimpse of humanity at its finest.

The older Sim... games should really be on GOG, especially SimEarth and SimAnt.
Deus Ex Human Revolution deals with ethics and transhumanism and classism so that might be worth looking into.

They should be, there's no logical blocker, so this is entirely on EA, I'd guess.
Try Postal and Postal 2.
