that i've only seen it once or had an original airing that I just
remember being different from how it is now.
Like South Park, I feel like the original episodes got lost in time.
I don't remember the original episodes being so dull, & boring,
I remember a lot going on in them, & the original opening being
very different then it is now, too.
But I can't find the original episodes I remember watching anywhere.
It is possible that Streaming had just gotten them mixed up,
but i've got them on DVD, & even DVD doesn't have it correct
either. So I dunno.

I also have had times where I had 'elevated' things because I watched/played them at times when there wasn't much to compare them to, so trying to watch/play them again, after having more things to compare them to, shows all the flaws that I overlooked. There are some stories I can no longer read, because they just have so many flaws to them.
That is why I am not sure whether I have just completely misremembered the scene from that game, because I had little to compare it to at the time, and so elevated/cleaned it up in my mind, or if it just is from an obscure game, or if I am remembering snippets from multiple games, such as the four pool setup from Pillars, the colorful nature of the pools in Dark Sun, and then some other games that had yellowstone style hot springs in them, so I changed the colors to to those, and it all came together into one image that my brain insists comes from the same game :P
& I have Skyrim running on an old 1080P Computer Monitor with my Computer.
I also have Skyrim Special Edition running on my Computer & X-Box One
Your not misremembering how Morrowind looked compared to Skyrim,
no, instead your forgetting that Morrowind was played on an Older Screen
like 4:3 Fat TV or a 1080P TV Screen, but Skyrim has been played on a
more like modern TV or 4K Screen Today, or possibly Computer Monitor.
So if you try to play Morrowind on a more modern screen like we have Today,
the Visuals will look a lot more faded, & less impressive looking for Morrowind,
then they would if you played Morrowind on an older Screen like we did in the past.
The Screen or TV / Monitor is what is screwing up your memory a bit.
I have compared Morrowind to Skyrim & Skyrim doesn't really look all that better.
Morrowind = Has a better looking sky
Skyrim = Has a better looking world
Skyrim = Has better looking wild life
Skyrim = Has nicer water effects
Morrowind = Has better looking caves / dungeons
Morrowind = Has deeper blacks & darks
Skyrim = Has brighter whites & lights
Both = Have same quality Character Clothing
Both = Have same quality fire effects, with only Skyrim being a tiny bit better
Morrowind = Has a more richer story
Skyrim = Has a lot more fun jumping into the world to play it
That is how I remember Morrowind Vs. Skyrim
Skyrim Special Edition = Improves wild life & water effects
Skyrim Special Edition = Improves the look of the world like trees & such
Skyrim Special Edition = Has too many glitches, bugs, & physics issues in the world
Morrowind = Had an easier & better MOD Creation Program then both Skyrim & Skyrim Special Ediiton
I think Morrowind looks equally just as good as Skyrim, some things better,
while some things worst, but for the most part it looks about as good as Skyrim.
What do you think?
Again, I had the same problem with Splinter Cell on X-Box Vs. My Computer,
Splinter Cell looked soo much better on the X-Box, because of the lighting & darkness
was better on the X-Box, & my Computer faded out the picture quality till it was aweful looking.
The nice thing with my Computer, though, is that newer Games have
a nicer bigger picture that I can see on screen then what my X-Box Games display.
So this is sorta why I like both Newer TV's & also older TV's, too
Why I like Newer Monitors & also older Monitors, too
Some Games just look better on older Monitors & TV's & some just look better on Newer ones.
Does this help you out a bit with your memories of the Game at all?
