Hey there, I am currently trying to find any games like Final Fantasy on GOG as I am a big Anime fan and also would like to find something like Sword Art Online. Please let me know if you know of any, as I am also learning Japanese and need to brush it up, and having an Anime game of course in Japanese would help spruce up my learning skills.

Septerra Core is something like the earlier Final Fantasy games though I believe it is English only.

Grandia 2 might have a Japanese language option. Not certain.

In general you aren't going to find a lot of JRPGs at this site. Gog doesn't get a lot of support from Japanese developers.

I see, I hope GOG then can get the rights to Final Fantasy XV as I really would like to play it DRM free, but who knows it could happen.

Whilst I don't know what Sword Art Online is like, the impression I've got is that it's about some kind of MMORPG, which you won't find on GOG. Fr something a bit like FF you might want to try Trails in the Sky, or perhaps even Piere Solar, though the latter is by a western developer if memory serves. I would suggest you check out some gameplay videos and reviews before buying.

Yeah I saw those two games and I liked the look of them, thanks for pointing them out though, now I am wondering if they are more of a MMORPG as they are more Offline then Online though.

JRPGs on GOG -GOGmix is worth checking out too.
But you're pretty much out of luck if you look something JRPG where you can choose Japanese text.

Ohayou Gozaimasu and Arigato Gozaimasu for the links, I am so happy to find other Anime fans here too, Anata Wa think that you are by yourself, as you can see, I am slowly learning the introduction of the Nihonjin but needing a lot more work.

Since I have Septerra Core, that's the closest I can tell you to a Final Fantasy game on GOG from my experience. If you want a turn-based anime game, there's Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 which is pretty fun.

How about Caladrius Blaze? It plays nothing like Final Fantasy (it's more like Touhou), but it is anime.
