And no TW3, it's kind of funny that you don't have to own TW3 in order to get that DLC.

Does that constitute broken website or forward looking generosity?

It's probably a move to get new accounts to buy TW3 to relieve the OCD anxiety of having DLC and no game to go with it. Thus compelling people to buy not just TW3, but TW and TW2 to make things right.

Truly diabolical.

Imagine the s***storm if the customers found out about that practice.
Considering both of the other Witcher games have been free in the past, I'd be surprised if 3 doesn't eventually become part of a freebie promo at some point.

That being said, I highly doubt it'll be anytime soon. I'd guess probably after it's been out five years or so.

When was Witcher 2 free? I only know about the first part.

There was a sale where checking in gave you stamps (or something to that effect) and collecting all of them by checking in over the course of something like 5 days got you a code for a movie and The Witcher 2.

By DLC you mean the free extra stuff, or the paid one? If the paid one, from what I recall, it is also compatible with the retail version, thus why one can buy it without owning the base game.

I think that was mentioned back when the expansion was announced, tell me if you want me to go dig said posts.

It's the free one, I got it just because I always get the freebies, I just thought it was kind of funny that they're giving away a pair of DLC as freebies.

The Hotline Miami one appears to be completely separate from the game and is more like a free goodie.
