Haven’t been on GOG in ages and the last time I gave codes away must be a few years back so I don’t really remember how it works.
I just found out that I still have valid codes for “Grim Fandango Remastered” and “MDK”. I own both games so I would like to give them away.

My settings are already set to allow messages from everyone, maybe you have to change yours? Gog changed the default settings at some point.

It's actually your privacy settings. which seem to be the problem. GOG changed the default setting for chat from "everyone" to "friends only", and if you're not friends, both parties need to set it back to "everyone" to be able to chat.

If these keys you're giving away are from recent freebies, there's unfortunately also a high chance that they've expired, which is something which freebie keys do nowadays. It's a known issue that they don't communicate this clearly, but you can check it by trying to redeem them yourself.

Ok we sorted it, the key for MDK worked was valid until 2020
