dirt 2 has been delisted but its still in my library i can still play it and still download it

1) it's not like it's a mandatory recall, GOG can still have the games, they just can't sell them
2) even if GOG did fully remove them, they still wouldn't have the authority to remove any of the installers you still have

It was because it incorporated a 3rd party patch and that 3rd party got upset that their work was used without permission, wasn't it?
The fact that GOG and the modder haven't come to an agreement and it hasn't been re-added yet is either a black mark against GOG's negotiating skills or a sign that the modder is just being a bit of a dick now - I mean surely, if you've gone to the trouble of producing a 3rd party community patch and releasing it publicly its because you want people to be able to PLAY the game, unless he's some kind of piracy advocate...



Heh ArmA 1 was originally released as 'Operation: Flashpoint' by Codemasters, they had a fall out with Bohemia and it was removed, them Bohemia re-added it as 'ArmA Gold' with a different expansion pack and THEN it was removed again because Bohemia left GOG (and all other DD platforms, apart from Steam) for some reason!

The negotiations most likely aren't between GOG and the modder(s) but between the modder and the rights owner of Re-Volt (which is some fairly obscure Korean publisher). When the game was pulled, I remember posts on the fan forum that were basically saying "Yay! Victory is ours! Now that publisher WILL have to talk to us!" Looks like it didn't pan out that way... and now everyone loses: The publisher won't make any money, GOG lost a great game from their catalogue, the customer won't be able to acquire the game through legal means and the fan community ensured that their favourite game will remain in total obscurity.

I (regrettably) followed the situation pretty closely, and this is how I understand it...
The publisher started selling the game here with the community patch included - without permission from the modders who made the patch. The mod community got pissed about it, and contacted GOG, who removed it immediately.
The reason it is still not back on GOG is because of a feud between the modders and the publisher. They can't reach an agreement. The new publisher is Korean, and apparently doesn't have any employees that speak English well. Meanwhile the mod community has a murderous grudge against the publisher and seems that they refuse to negotiate at all.
GOG has no fault in this, as far as I can tell.
There is a thread or two in the appropriate subsection of the forums here, as well as a lengthy and very hate-filled thread somewhere here in GD where you can read it all. (But I recommend you don't. I think it is best if everyone just forgets it and moves on.)

What the Hell? Wallace and Gromit has been removed?! And ReVolt, too?! I´ve wanted to gift W&G to several others and well----Revolt was definitivly not long on here...

whispered world was hardly removed. They just changed the version that was on GOG
