I dropped Wishfully Studios an e-mail about Planet of Lana. I'm not expecting anything, but you never know. Thunderful Publishing released 17 games here to date, out of which only 2 have achievements, so I never considered contacting them.

Since the devs already fixed the broken achievements for the game I posted here, there's nothing more to see here :)

That being said: support the devs from Sexy Mystic Survivors - they are amazing, helpful and fast!

Beautiful Mystic Survivors isn't tagged as having achievements on the store page. If they were recently introduced, this might fix itself in a while. If not, you can try opening a support ticket.

Ah, sorry - I thought both games officially had achievements since it is technically just one game. So correction: the achievements for Sexy Mystical Survivors were broken but instantly fixed by the devs the moment I told them about it. Already changed my original posting so that people who bought Beautiful Mystic Survivors aren't confused.

Beautiful Mystic Survivors does have achievements though. It's just not noted as a feature on the store page. I'm pretty sure it's not an intentional omission. It happens all the time, like The Witcher 2 recently.

Witcher 2 never had working achievements since years ... so the omission was in fact intended back then.

...and my post in this thread which is #772, and also VanishedOne's post in this thread which is #774, in which we are both complaining that for us, the Achievement in Metro 2033 Redux for wiping your gas mask 20 times doesn't work.

There is a pattern here, wherein as SargonAelther says, sometimes Achievements "that require multiple actions" are broken on GOG.

This pattern seems to warrant further research.

And another thing to keep in mind, is that with Steam games, for Achievements that require multiple actions, there is actually a visible counter in which you can see how many actions you have currently successfully performed whilst those Achievements are in progress, but not yet successfully unlocked.

GOG very desperately need that same feature of counting progress, which would greatly help towards identifying examples of where something is glitching in regards to counting progress for Achievements that require multiple actions.

And in addition to that, it would also make earning those Achievements vastly more enjoyable and less stressful when you can check on your progress towards them whenever you want to.

So in addition to advocating for GOG and/or devs to fix their broken GOG Achievements, we should also add this to our list of things to advocate for GOG to include as part of its Achievement features.

You're right, and in fact I had noticed this anomaly long ago. If you check the list of broken achievements and analyze their patterns, you will notice that they are practically all of three main types:

1. Achievements that require multiple, or cumulative actions (collect $10k, kill 100 enemies, swim 10 km, etc.).

2. Achievements that unlock when you have unlocked all the other achievements. As absurd as it is, this is a recurring bug; it should be super easy to set up such an achievement, but apparently it isn't.

3. Achievements that unlock on a given day/time.

I've already tried to report this to GOG support, but it obviously requires a lot of work that has never been done yet. For now we have had the Steam SDK wrapper, which is a great tool already in use in some games, but otherwise the team in charge of Galaxy has been focusing on updates to the store functionality. My hope is that sooner or later they will focus on much more interesting updates regarding the game aspect: a real link to GOG profiles with their improvement, better management of achievements, etc.

Since we have won the battle for the achievements in The Witcher 2, I agree with you and I have added to the OP what I now think is the most important goal, a feature that shows the progress of achievements that require cumulative actions.

There is of course a wishlist for this as well and I urge everyone who hasn't already done so to vote for it, I think it's important to get to at least 1000 votes: Show achievement progress
