Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I'm using Lutris and have connected it to my GOG account, however while the correct total number of games in my library appears in the search bar, only a fraction of the games in my GOG library appear in my GOG Lutris library. Has anyone else experienced this issue before, and if so knows how to fix it?

(I'm able to download and play the games that do appear btw)
Hello,

Click the menu button in the top right corner and make sure "Show installed games only" is not checked.

Did you consider, those listed are the only games that are known to work or have a setup to do so?

Not saying it isnt glitched. Just removing possible explanations.

Perhaps you got logged out arbitrarily. It happens.

My assumption is that some games in my GOG library have names that differ from those "standard" names in Lutris games database. For example, https://lutris.net/games/baldurs-gate/ and https://lutris.net/games/baldurs-gate-the-original-saga/. So, if installer is not available for game in my GOG library, I'm trying to check if a game with similar name on Lutris site has GOG installers - they are often there, adding it to my Lutris library and using installer after sync.

Regards.
Alternately, nothing prevents you from downloading the offline installers yourself and/or using Innoextract to rip open the archives and simply pointing Lutris to a folder.

I did not manage to do that last time I tried Lutris, cf. https://forums.lutris.net/t/does-lutris-have-support-for-offline-gog-installers-and-lack-of-music-in-werewolf-the-apocalypse-purgatory/22132

No matter what I tried, it absolutely wanted to be connected to my GOG account (something I am not going to allow) before doing anything else.

I understand that I was most probably using it wrong, but I am not going to spend hours fighting an UI that is supposed to make things easier…
I have been using llutris for a while now and do not have my GOG account connected.
I use the add game from executable option and point it to my offline installer backup drive.

So far almost all games have worked this way. The only problems I have had was when installing the original IE Games (i.e Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale etc) which was fixed by creating a small .vhd file to use as a target installation directory.

You don't need to connect your GOG account, just clic on the "+" button on top left, then select how you want yo install, like lutris installer or manual scrip, then it will ask you to point the the .exe from GOG installer and the game should be installed

This is what I do. I ask for installing from a Lutris script, type the name of my game (it is found), select it… And then I only get an error pop-up: "No installer available".

The reason for that is the script supporting this game requires Lutris to be linked to a GOG account, as explained to me in the Lutris forum thread I linked to earlier.
never had this problem with my games, but some games installer might be broke if you found in lutris forum other persons having the same problem, but for most of the games you don't need to link your account.

If I understood correctly, this is actually not about a broken Lutris script.

There are two kinds of scripts for GOG games:
- "real" scripts dedicated to specific games, these ones should work even without a link to the GOG account;
- a generic script used as a fallback for all games without a dedicated one, this one only works if the GOG account is linked.

As luck would have it, the couple games I wanted to test all fell in the second category.
