Plokite_Wolf: Multiplayer aspects of games save for LAN are not "owned" or "controlled" by you or anyone else but the developer and a licensed second party. And from the way you talk, I don't believe you've ever used such services anyway. So the original statement - if you like drm free games then you don't need a client - is perfectly valid and one which you are agreeing with, if you want third party controlled multiplayer then you do need a client, but at that point drm is irrelevant as you don't own that part, and someone else controls it.
