That's correct, but it's also clear to me that youtube is a platform that monetizes internet hissy-fits between people who have little or nothing to say. But it does seem that Jeremy is in the process of learning a valuable lesson, and I hope he follows through with disengaging from people that really aren't worth the time of day. It won't be easy because they need people to be at war with.

They should re-hire Linko and just let him close the whole damn forum. That would be fun. Then everyone could run off to Reddit or Twitter or what-the-fuckever and bitch about how the alt-right is taking over the entire web.

Hmm I know I have enjoyed a lot of threads in the past on here but gog would probably be better off without a forum/ user reviews/ gamer social media and just have the users account being one were they access their games. If I could do it again I'd just stick to that. I do love some of the reviews I've written and received some great feedback from others so I am glad they helped but the amount of gang bullying I've gotten from some posts on people who just didn't agree and can't be mature about things puts me off.

The more GOG tries to bury this the worse it's going to get. If GOG wish to simply avoid all drama (which I imagine a lot of the people working there wish to do) my suggestion would be to avoid social media altogether. As for the forums, I'd honestly just leave it be and let it run it's course. You can't force the community to forget this and trying to do so only make it worse. My heart goes out to Linko90. After reading what he went through to get his job only to lose it six months later and what happened with his family. What a miserable time we live in.

GOG wont openly admit it because they are still trying to cope with the trainwreck that is the site redesign and the lost sales. They prefer having a few 'Where's Linko?' threads than some "Im officially done with GOG" or "Never buying here again" "Going back to Steam" etc...

I think its pretty ignorant to call the tweet 'transphobic', it objectively isnt. Its not even offensive, the trans wouldnt be using that hashtag if it was. Its actually the opposite, it sends the message that they are supporting the cause, though it is VERY distasteful to use such a hashtag to sell games. Unless GOG openly support the cause they should not use their hashtag and pretend that they do.

Get over yourself man, the only reason the previous threads about this were being locked or deleted was very plainly because people were breaking forum rules. You can complain about GoG not releasing a statement about firing him all you want but that's easily explained by privacy laws, they could be sued if they released a statement singling out a single identifiable employee for firing. It's just sad how quickly and pathologically some of you guys are willing to spin wild conspiracy theories about this.

Really? You mean that thread created with a post from Nov 13th - the day after I made the post you are replying to? Is the only way you can win an argument is to take my quote out of context? You take a post from a month ago when threads we're being locked/deleted for offering proof. At the time my response was valid but GoG backed off soon after. Yes, it's not valid anymore - because a month has passed! It's just sad how desperate some of you are to win an argument.

Let me emphasize: That thread didn't have any links to proof that Linko was fired (At least not until the creation of this thread). Threads that did have direct proof to Linko being gone as a direct result of GoG's actions were nuked prior to this thread.
