In case you have troubles getting your games through direct downloads or through the GOG Galaxy client, here is where you can find the (old) official GOG downloader. You can cue your downloads, pause them, and come back to finish the download at your own convenience.

To anyone else who is just now learning about the old GOG downloader, to add games from your library to the download cue, simply click on desired game in your library, click the "More > " button, then click on the "GOG Downloader Links" option. Choose the appropriate link from the list for your operating system, and the game will be added to your GOG Downloader cue list. You may need to grant your browser permission to open the downloader, but that's as simple as a single mouse click.

Actually, yes, do that. Bring this to GOG's attention. I use Windows, so I don't know anything about Linux. They should hear this from someone who does. The sooner that you bring it to their attention, the sooner they can get to work on a fix for it.

I actually use Windows primarily, but have a Linux box as well. But that aside, I think your faith in GOG fixing this is misplaced. For one thing, they're not exactly known for jumping on fixes that aren't crucial (and this isn't, since you can still use the browser). For another, they don't officially support the DLer anymore, so fixing this issue is likely going to be lower than 'low' priority.
