It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

mchack: yep, like muntdefems already said it looks like a dns error. Question is do you write your posts with said ubuntu? then that's weird because I don't think you can use the internet at all without resolving dns queries.
Anyway, just as a try you could try using the google domain name servers like so:

sudo echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" > /etc/resolv.conf
Depending on how its configured, Google Chrome may prefer Google's DNS over whatever's set up for the OS.

Of course GOG's developers cannot handle their new naming nonsense consistently... Thanks for the quick fix!
haven't checked out how lgogdownloader reacts to the new galaxy included installers vs classic installers.
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/offline_installers_with_an_option_to_install_gog_galaxy/post1414

will it download both, only classic or only galaxy? if both, will there be an option to exclude the galaxy installers (apparently marked by a "(g)" at the end of the filename)?

I can't say what the most recent versions will do, but:

1. The official GOG downloader is apparently supposed to only download classic installers
2. The ancient "2.25 git d9587e454455" version of LGOGDownloader that I've been using retrieves the classic versions.

(I haven't updated in ages for "It works. Don't **** with it." reasons after seeing a newer release version crash when I attempted to install it on my brother's PC.)

It will ignore installers with Galaxy because the API doesn't list those installers in the API response.
Also the API doesn't return any details about Galaxy bundled installers even when using the proper file id.
For example: "lgogdownloader --download-file divinity_original_sin_enhanced_edition/en1galaxy_installer0" returns 404 error because the API response is missing.
If Galaxy installers become a problem later on it should be easy to fix by simply adding a blacklist rule. I think something like this would work: Rp .*\(g\).*

great news! thank you :D
Did GOG start blocking VPNs for downloading? For the longest time I could run lgogdownloader just fine from a virtual machine that tunnels all traffic through a commercial VPN. But for the last two months I mostly get the error messages Mezenir described:

017-Apr-06 16:27:27 [Thread #0] Begin download: setup_witcher3_en_goty_2.0.0.51-5.bin
2017-Apr-06 16:27:27 [Thread #3] Download complete (Failure when receiving data from the peer): setup_witcher3_en_goty_2.0.0.51-3.bin

Some downloads work occassionally, for instance I could download one of the four bin files for Darksiders yesterday at full speed, whereas all the others failed with the usual error message.

Running lgogdownloader from my desktop (without a VPN) works just fine. Both the VM and the desktop use the same version of lgogdownloader (v 3.1.2 from Debian Stretch) and use exactly the same config, including cookies and cache files.
Good day to all, I wonder if any of you can help me.

I would like to know if there is a way to blacklist a game from download on LGOGDownloader, The reason eing is that when the Game of the year edition of The Witcher 3 came out I already had both the DLC's and the Game of the year edition just appeared out of nowhere in my library. But because I use LGOGDownloader to download and update my whole library (just over 100 games and growing) I want to be able to blacklist normal The Witcher 3 but download the Game Of The Year version (without it redownloading more than 50 gb's of useless crap that has been downloaded in the other edition.

Sude:
I'm not sure what the DLC list exactly is used for (to overrule GOG's DLC count?). But broken_sword_4 probably could be added to that list too as the soundtrack has been separated from it like for broken_sword_directors_cut.

You can hide the game on your game shelf and lgogdownloader will ignore it or you can blacklist all the files for the game in ~/.config/lgogdownloader/blacklist.txt
Rp the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_game/.*
I recommend hiding the game on your game shelf so lgogdownloader doesn't even try to get details for it.

Yes it's used to override GOG's dlc count because GOG reports wrong dlc count information for pretty much every game and thus the info can't be trusted.

The list is probably missing more games with DLC because I haven't updated it for a while now. And because magog is working in legacy mode it is going to mean that for newer games I need to do even more manual work to figure out which game actually has dlc.
I wish GOG would fix the dlc count info. DLC count worked at one point which is why I started using it in the first place to speed up getting game details but then GOG broke it like less than a month later and never fixed it. I've reported it to support a couple of times and mentioned it to GOG staff in some threads to but it seems like it's just never going to get fixed.
Something weird is going on with lgogdownloader bandwidth - it's abysmal comparing to downloads from the browser.

I opened a bug here: https://github.com/Sude-/lgogdownloader/issues/117

Is there a way to pass some custom user agent to lgogdownloader? I wanted to narrow down bandwidth issues, which seem to depend on the client.

I see it's already being set, but currently it's hardcoded:
https://github.com/Sude-/lgogdownloader/blob/master/src/downloader.cpp#L2758

Making that configurable can be useful. I can make a merge request for this a bit later.

lgogdownloader has been defeated by captcha, now what am I supposed to do?

I think you can login through browser and export cookies to ~/.config/lgogdownloader to resolve this issue.
