Has everyone here forgotten about Gone Home?

Or does everyone here WANT to get forget about Gone Home?

I was also going to mention Undertale, but someone already mentioned it.

dtgreene: Undertale has LGBT characters; even the main character is non-binary.
How can you even tell?

I know about Alphys and Undine, and those 2 knights in the Hotlands,
but I've always thought Frisk was a little girl, probably because of the long hair Frisk has in cut scenes.

I'm pretty sure at one point, Frisk is referred to as "She" or "Her" in some text-only flashback scenes,
in which they're not calling Frisk by name, like during Alphys's secret lab scenario.

For that matter, is Undertale secretly about LGBT rights and discrimination?

'Cuz I can see that.

"The Cave" that the monsters are trapped in could represent being in "The Closet."

KasperHviid: The threads title is pretty clear: "LGBT stuff in games" If you think this particular subject is going to cause you mental distress, why do you open the thread, gets offended and downrep me? Wouldn't it be easier to just stay out of the thread?
Well, for those whom dislike that everyone might have a space online - easy, courteous or representative is not that important, is it?

But that dislike will not change the facts. or thankfully the underlying reality - gaming fans and opinions are naturally non-uniform!

Based on down-reps, thinking that Dethmold of The Witcher 2 has been written with under-lying homophobia gets such a down-rep as that it should be totally outlandish to think so!

I perso thought it was actually a pretty plausible reaction to that writing, at the context it was: Polish constitutional court right at that time accepted a Party symbol that was homophobic as legal. The press in Finland was quite shocked. To me, Dethmold was in that context.
I am naturally inclined to like Kasper's "agitprop" OP - because being casual about homos, lesbos bis and tans - as persons, or fellow gamers, even, gets a lot of push back.

"To my experience.." :-)

But I want to share a more serious point of being kind about opinions, or naturally less aggressive posters, or those whom actually would like to post but cannot take all this shite.

On another fora, I argued aggressively an opinion relating to handicapped persons - be this physical, intellectual or social, this is not the point.

A fellow gamer elsewhere made his points, stating he had a personal view on what was wrong about treating handicapped persons, and he had one. I had a significantly different but personally lived view, so I just laid it on him.

When this person would have needed an adapted communication. And having come to that opposing view from reasons- I really would have wanted to know.

What I want to say: I really think having "amiable" space online would open it up.

This is not, obviously, about denying an earnest opinion - such as finding Dethmold homophobic - but taking into account that not all feel liberated in partaking the current typical online rhetoric.
I think a lot of people are getting tired of identity/gender politics in Big Entertainment, and practically everything turning into a pro-LGBT Public Service Announcement.

And this wouldn't be the case if pro-LGBT people weren't in the MAJORITY. At least, they certainly have the biggest microphone. Can't claim that coveted Victim Status anymore, kids.

So you can imagine that people opposed to whole LGBT are gonna feel alienated and marginalized, when they feel that their point of view is being ignored, disrespected, villainized, etc.

No one likes feeling like they're having some ideology being served down their throat, no matter what the ideology is.

Then, of course, there's the school system; LGBT stuff is being taught to children as young as grade schoolers; I don't know about you, but when you haven't even reached puberty yet, who you want to pork ought to be the least of your worries, if non-existent.

The U.S. is sure full of open-minded people these days, but those open minds are a lot of empty space, and those people have absolutely no marketable or employable skills. And we all wonder why everyone is unemployed in debt?

I don't know about you, but I'm kind of OVER Evangelion.

I'm not interested in arguing existentialism or whatever anymore; I just want to play a video game or watch a movie, and relax and unwind at the end of the day, rather than reflecting on whatever uncertainty of life that exists.

Yeah, 'cuz just that alone is supposed to discredit me.

Being somehow vaguely affiliated with someone.

Yeah, there are violent Trump supporters out there, but there're also violent, militant Bernie Sanders supporters out there, burning shit down, too.

Like the actions of those people should reflect upon the people they support?

Neither of those individuals are telling those people to go do those things.

The "Guilty by Association" concept is some all bullshit that fascists use to put more people in jail.

As for Mr. Airplane, I didn't even really read the guy's post, anyway, or more much care what the guy had to say one way or another. You can only read so much before you no longer care, you know?

Perhaps you missed that part, when I said I only read 4 pages into that thread?

Well, whatever.

Stop trying to deflect and change the subject.

Intolerant assholes are feeling alienated and marginalized? Now I should probably follow this up with som sarcastic remark, but it just seem too easy ...
There is crossdressing in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. There is a famous crossdressing character named Bridget in the Guilty Gear series.

Seriously! You ripped someone a new asshole for a reply to a post you didn't read. XD

You can't make this shit up! XD

That was really funny, Mr e.

It was funny because you put XD after it.
In Mother 3, the main character receives help from a group of transgender faeries called Magypsies.

Spectre: It's all very well having your BLTGRQs and what not but where are the games for the bondage gimps, succubi, furries and exhaust humpers.
Saints Row the Third has everything you mentioned except exhaust humpers.

Wait, what are exhaust humpers? Do I even want to know?

As for LGBT games... Overfall elves all look female regardless of actual gender.

From Japan of course. Why is everything outside of japan so damn bland?

Automobile fetishists perhaps? At least such inanimate objects won't worry about consentuality!

I don't know about games being pro or anti LGBT, but there's some that are definately misogynist, not having one single female character anywhere.

The entire "Armed Assault" series is mostly like that, and the bigots at Bohemia Interactive are usually very aggressive on their forums with anyone who says their "male only" game universes are unrealistic!
"Two Worlds" was another one..... not one girl anywhere, except the protagonist's sister! In fact I stopped playing and dumped Two Worlds purely because of this chauvinist unrealistic shit!

Well, what about the Settlers. All the Amazons are women. Isn't that sexism?
