emter_pl: I’d like to let you know that we’re currently in talks with tinyBuild and trying to find the best possible solution to this situation.
This is good to hear. Thanks for letting us know something.
BTW was that one quoted employee speaking officially for Tinybuild or not? Do you guys/gals know that much?
mqstout: Nope. Better that they remain and labeled outdated rather than removed. They should NOT vanish. Better to have an out of date product than have it not be available at all. (And I mean at all -- I'm not a self-harming fucker who uses any DRM platforms.)
Especially since, when the data was looked, it's only a couple of products that are behind at all and the vast majority are not.
SirPrimalform: I disagree. If the developer/publisher are supporting the game elsewhere but not here then it shouldn't be on sale here. It's dishonest to sell a game that is out of date and will never be updated. And honestly, if the game was labelled outdated like you suggest, do you really think it would sell enough to even justify its presence?
EDIT: By the way, there is a precedent for this. There have been several games removed because the developer or publisher decided to stop supporting the game here.
As others said i'd rather have games DRM free than not have them at all.....better to have them than to let them fall into the digital ether as other titles have done.

Djaron: But then for such situations we need a clear and visible indicator on the sotre page for future customers
like "this game is discontinued/unsupported by publisher and is sold as is without any update or bugfixing provided"
sure, it would not be very incentive and motivating for the wannabe buyer... but at least customer would have the choice and be informed properly...
Agreed, as long as the games remained for sale.
MarkoH01: Sorry, but I could not resist. It's still a pity that it even IS a problem to get completely updated versions because of the the platform you buy it on. Not updating a game on any platform devs/publishers are offering it on should be punisheable by law - it should not even be an option imo. It's sad that several people have left GOG - or stopped buying newer games on GOG completely - because of this. Like I said, such things do hurt GOG massively.
Maybe not punishable by law aka jail time, but perhaps a fin of some sort?
