So I've been popcorning the debate over the lack of a female protagonist in the Legend of Zelda series, largely sparked by the fact that the last series Nintendo had with a female lead is now as good as dead, and that their main franchise typically keeps the female of the game an unintelligent ditz.

So taking the thoughts here to a logical anti-thought, I've decided to ask you, the Gogdolytes, about the idea of Geralt being a female.

Now say, unlike Link, who is an effeminate skirt wearing mascot of the Zelda series, Geralt is an established character from Tommy Wiseau's The Room, and has motives, personality, and more importantly, an actual character, rather than being a skirt wearing kid who has shown a grand total of about 15 emotions the entire franchise.

So! What would have to change if Geralt was female? Anything? Let the Debate Fiesta begin!

According to our resident feminists, a female Geralt probably would get up to 20% less quest rewards.

So what if Samus was a man. Or Lara, or Jill, or Morrigan, or Flemeth, or Viconia, or Jaheira, or a rather large number of other strong female characters that have the main role in their games...Oh wait...pointless debate in today victimization culture.

Provided she still fucks girls, the witcher series would get higher review scores.

Sure, those are all valid. This thread is a taking the piss out of those who are arguing over Link, who is mostly a Ageless, Faceless, Gender-Neutral, Culturally-Ambiguous Adventure Person. Or AFGNCAAP.

A 7.5 instead of a 7.0 from IGN?

I note that her hair would likely still be the same, as it's already long.

Some of her other features might be softer. Then again, she would still be 102 years old in the final game.

Also, the game's title could be shortened to "The Witch".

What if the Witcher is a verb?
Who is Geralt?

The protagonist of the Witcher series.
Linkle sure was popular among feminists.

Tommy Wissau? The Room? Care to enlighten me?

I always thought the character and world came from Andrzej Sapkowski's Wiedźmin book series, of which the first was released in 1990.

When is she portrayed as an unintelligent ditz?
