Suddenly the internet in every country collapses from an unknown error labeled False Wish. It takes ten years to get the internet back online. In the meantime, people get used to calling each other on phone and using snail mail like in decades past.


I wish for people to stop being obsessed with video game characters.

Your wish seems to have backfired. Nobody else is obsessed with video game characters; however, you are now obsessed with the last video game character you played as. (If no such character exists, you are obsessed with Mario.)

I wish for a remake of the Pool of Radiance series that is bug free and allows female characters to be as strong as male characters.

Okay, I know I'm supposed to corrupt this somehow, but you are aware of PoR: Ruins of Myth Drannor?

Not only are there zero gender-based restrictions in character creation (other than some combinations being unavailable, such as female Dwarves or Halflings, due to lack of a paper doll) or leveling, but the three female NPCs who can eventually join your party are among the strongest options available.

So, just pretend you can't get the game to work. There, I corrupted your wish.

I wish someone would set up Stars! to run properly in DOSBox.

Granted. Reputation is replaced by a series of irrational numbers, making it impossible to judge who is good or bad but at least personal attacks are downvoted.

To be honest, reputation is pretty much useless as it is. I just saw someone make a nasty post (of the sort that would be deleted even on a minimally moderated forum) that was high rated. That particular user has posted nasty stuff in the past and has a 4 digit reputation value. In other words, replacing reputation with a series of irrational numbers doesn't really change anything.

I wish i would be served Sushi in the REAL, authentic, traditional Japanese way, the (secret technique) tradition of "Nyotaimori"; Snowkatt to cook it and Mariabarring to serve it to me!

Granted, except that snowkatt isn't familiar with the recipe and makes a mistake, causing the sushi to not taste that good.

Wish granted, but before people learn to pronounce "Sushi", they HAVE TO learn how to pronounce NYOTAIMORI, instead! The traditional custom of serving sushi and the only one right way to do so! (GOOGLE IT ASAP)!

I wish to find materials for my medicinal products of TCM recipes, without having to make importers of dry herbs rich.

Granted: Turner Classic Movies don't require any dry herbs or medicinal products, so it turns out you don't need to do all of that.
