Maxvorstadt: Well, the Matrix movies were not that bad. But who the hell told the Wachovskis to take Carrie-Anne Moss as actor for Trinity? Man, this woman looks so weird! I guess that Keanu Reeves had to take strong drugs before every scene he played together with Moss.

Read the book, though. It's way better.

She also appears in Neuromancer. There are many references in The Matrix to this seminal work, also by William Gibson.
I read the Neuromancer book before watching The Matrix, and she fits the description quite well. Except for the blades, that is.
