This would be a full ban regardless of age, apparently he is blaming the rise of car jackings on video games..... rather than doing some real work.

This is clearly garbage as time and time again it has been proven that there is no correlation between violent video games and any type of crime or misdemeanor.

From what I hear about Chigago, they should just ban Chicago.

Someone should remind those lawmakers to look back 100 years and see how the last major "prohibition" in that town worked out

Oh hey, it's the 1990s again. Neat. It'd be almost nostalgic if it wasn't so stupid.
Somehow I think the First Amendment may frown on this prohibition.

America's Army is a series of video games developed by the United States Army. This would be clearly illegal as an army simulator typically involves shooting people.

Actually joining the army and actually shooting people (possibly including innocent civilians in the wrong place)? Perfectly commendable.
It's the extension of "serious physical harm" that's also out there. I mean, he's bringing in things like psychological harm as well as specifically calling out "violence against women". This is clearly political posturing - I mean, while I have no problem with violence in video games (provided they are properly age assessed and sold appropriately), to my mind, whether it's against women or men, violence is the same.

Still, his law will be shot down, so beyond his stupidity, not much to worry about here.

To b̶u̶t̶c̶h̶e̶r̶ paraphrase a Benjamin Franklin quote, there are only three certain things in life: Taxes, death and politicians blaming videogames.

Grand Theft Auto taught me everything I needed to know about carjacking. Ever since I first saw how easy it was (open door, throw out driver, go!), I wanted to become a carjacker myself. Sadly, most cars over here seem to be locked or in motion, and the drivers put up much more resistance than anticipated. I wish I was in Chicago ...

Ah yes, the promied land of milk and honey, where the cars roam free, ripe for the picki...err, jacking. :)

On a more serious note, car theft is a minor concern considering this is Chicago we're talking about. :P

the cars should have burkas , they are too sexy and some poor criminals cant resist the urge to take them for themselves

True, they already have enough to deal with, and then Rockstar comes along and invents grand theft auto on top of it!

Rockstar Games should pay a fee for every single car theft, those bastards!
Ban videogames! They're totally the reson why US are so full of violence!
This way kids can save money to buy war-tier wepons for self defense instead!
Here we go again, it's easier to blame video games than discussing root problems of real-world crime and violence.
