My sentiment is the same as Grizznelda, so I'm thankful for any and all free giveaways.

I would like to add my well wishes. Stay safe and stay healthy everyone.

For me personally, this has been one of the best Spring Sale discounts.

BTW, I do miss the daily 24-hour deals during these seasonal events. It had a bit of extra excitement to it. =)

rjbuffchix: I like the goodie packs but as another user said, I would prefer they be tied into the games. In other words, instead of an entry in our library for "Goodie Pack #2", the goodies would be applied to each game (so the artbook for Pathfinder would be in the library page for Pathfinder, the soundtrack for NN:EE would be in that library page, etc).

It would also be very cool if we could click what we want to add, and not have stuff we don't want. For example, if I only wanted the artbook for Pathfinder, but none of the other goodies, it would be cool if that was possible.
This. I didn't claim either pack because I don't want to clutter my library with extras from games that I have no interest in.

I love artbooks, so in that regard the second pack was not quite as good as the first one (imho).

But hey: true to the old German saying: "Einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul!"
(translation: "one doesn't look a gift horse in the mouth"), I say "thank you!" anyway. :)

What a question. Of course - free stuff is always welcome.
Is anyone else having trouble purchasing? I've tried a couple of different cards and paypal on two different browsers but no luck. I keep getting Something went wrong and technical issue errors. I want to take part in the sale, I just haven't been able to so far. :)

I don't have a problem with any giveaway but I would like to say that it would probably be better to bring back the spend money and get a free game like you did a couple of years ago (for example spend 10 dollars and get a free game and if you spend more lets say 30 you get another free game etc.) It's better than having all these fake accounts to just register and get the free game or goodies and never buy anything from gog. Thank you again gog for the giveaway.

Not really, but thanks for trying.

However, I don't much like it that once the giveaway is over, you remove the goodies collection from my profile (not my library, my profile). Could you please reverse that? I already opened a ticket about it when the Witcher Goodies Collection was removed, and already commented on it when the Spring Sale Goodies Collection #1 was removed, yet I am still awaiting a reply (and a fix).

I have to agree with the others here. I can't really see who this giveaway was for.

Basically you can categorize people into 4 categories.

1) Interested into the game / Interested into bonus material in general
2) Interested into the game / Not interested into bonus material in general
3) Not interested into the game / Interested into bonus material in general
4) Not interested into the game / Not interested into bonus material in general

2) and 4) aren't interested into bonus material in the first place, so this giveaway is not for them. 3) wouldn't be interested because they lack the connection to the game. Would you be interested in avatars or wallpapers from games or movies you don't like? Most people certainly wouldn't. Which only leaves 1) but these are exactly the people who bought the goodies already.

So the giveaway would hardly profit anyone.

There is one thing that struck me as strange though.

It's one thing if a publisher wants to sell the artbook/soundtrack of a new game extra but for older games that usually doesn't work and the goodies are simply added to the games as bonus. So how come that some of the extras aren't on GOG at all? If a publisher doesn't sell it for extra money why is it not added to the game in the first place?
Gosh, time flies by!

Spring, Summer, Winter
I play the same game,
And a better player I become.
If the goodies are from games that i am interested yes, i appreciate them of course.
I wouldn't say I like it if I wouldn't. So I do. ...do♪ do♪ do♪ ...
yet
It could be much more exciting to choose e.g. 7 goodies out of 77 proposed to match up collection,
but
no goodies makes no sense, as there would be nothing to complain about ^

The collector in me of course appreciates these goodie packs and is thankful for the giveaways.

But actually I do not like them. I'm not much interested in goodies for games I do not own. And for games I already own the goodies rather should be added to the games itself and not being in a separate place where I probably never will find them again later.

Also I do not like items in my library which do not have an associated game card in the GOG catalog. I already hate it that we lose access to the game card of a game we own when it gets deleted from the catalog. But for these goodie collections it's even worse. Their game cards are temporary already by design (the game cards for the two previous collections already have been deleted from the catalog).
i just wanted to say thanks for all the freebies this sale, i really enjoyed the goodies packages, it brought me cheer in my fortress of solitude
Has anyone tried Red Faction: Armageddon?

No. I want game giveaways, not bonus materials.

I'm not a collector of extras, but I would love to have them!

Thumbs up from me.
