hedwards: It seems to me that the issue here is that you don't understand what her character is and why it's in the movie at all. She's not really intended to be much of a lead here. She's basically playing a cross between Princess Leia and badass Leia. Somebody to help develop Fin's character as he goes from Stormtrooper to hero of the resistance.

And compared with the loud and obnoxious women that have become so common in movies, her subtlety is a breathe of fresh air. The fact that she conveys the indignation with a look rather than giving a 20 minute monologue about how men are sexist pigs is something that other actresses could learn from.

Anyways, the movie had serious problems, but her performance is definitely not one of those problems. She played the role correctly and the role was important. My guess is that in the next movie they'll build on that the way they built upon Luke, Leia and Han's weird love triangle.

johnnygoging: I'm pretty convinced she's Luke's daughter. I also think she's why he left and stuck himself away on a planet in the middle of nowhere. he must have seen something in the force, and he dares not take the chance. it seemed obvious to me that rey is the lead in this movie. it's just the fact that finn is such an awesome character that he masks it a bit.

As for why i do not want Daisy as Lara, it's very simple: she can't act. We'll talk after a few more movies and a couple of years if she improved, but right now she's just as bad as the teens from The Shannara Chronicles and other identical series that are targeted to teens.

And i really don't think that bust is overly important (plenty of stuff to fool you in our day). The acting is the thing that counts. Having a good story and dialogues helps, too. Lara is overconfident, quite intelligent, sarcastic and an acomplished athlete. It's more than boobs. So let's not fixate on that. Let's see who can be all the other things. And for some stupid reason Hayley Atwell comes in my mind (and no, that's not because Agent Carter, but because she has a lot of acting experience and a fragton of series that she was in)

I once thought I was very clever when I came up with the idea that Anankin was actually "made" by Darth Plagueis, who as we were told could "manipulate midichlorians to create life". But of course when I googled it, I found it's an idea as old as Revenge of the Sith.

SeduceMePlz: A friend suggested Ariel Winter. I'd prefer someone a bit more athletic and a bit older, but she doesn't strike me as a bad choice based on photos I've browsed, and Hollywood seems to want a younger actress. I haven't seen her act tho. Anyone familiar enough with her to comment?
