Short answer: nobody.

Exhaustive answer: probably nobody.

Very exhaustive answer: The update is so small and mostly only does cosmetics. Chances are great you would never notice it anyway when running the game. So most probably not many people need to update.

I already finished Kotor2 with two or three really nice mods. So I don't really care why or why not.

And curious that they are doing this the KOTOR 2 instead of the more popular 1.

Is this a sign? Is Obsidian going to make a KOTOR 3?

cogadh: KotOR on mobile happened. When Aspyr ported both games to mobile, they sold unexpectedly well, prompting renewed interest in the PC version. Since much of the functional work to improve the game experience had already been done, Aspyr brought that work, plus enhancements to support TSLRCM to the Steam version which caused an even more unexpected spike in PC sales (hugely unexpected). Whether that might translate to interest in KotOR 3 remains to be seen, but at the moment, all it indicates is an interest in capitalizing on a dormant IP. It didn't cost EA or Disney much to patch the game, so the profits were likely significant.
I forgotten these games are on mobile....must be reallly shitty to play them on your phone :P

No, I am using Intel graphics because they are the best supported under Linux with open source drivers.

Works 100% fine.
I believe you, though AMD has a slider in the driversettings for under/overscan which can be used for adjusting the screensize. Out of the box it was always set too small and I had to adjust it for each resolution I used, for example when a game didn't support native display resolution.

What's wrong with renting? You're already subscribing to many things already.

There's a reason why this community as a whole is retarded. Disliking Steam for being DRM service is ok, your option, but hating it with a passion to the point of bitching endlessly is a whole different story altogether.
