I just noticed that the rep increased by like 40-50 in a week without giveaways or other things.
It was just a rant for the missing GoG controls, sorry. :P

Unfortunately, we've got some more users here abusing the rep-system to uprep themselves. Just take a closer look, they're among young and old.

Well if they post your IP address next to your name, the nefarious would have to use proxies when they change alts, and they would inevitably fuck up at some point and get outed...

Not everyone in the world uses static IPs y'know :) Tying anything to IP is useless.

Edit: This isn't the 90s when grabbing someone's IP address meant being able to disconnect someone from the internet every time they logged on (Disclaimer: not that I was ever immature enough to do that...:P)

You misunderstand...scammer posts, logs off, logs on as alt...his IP is the same...unless he uses a proxy every time he logs an alt...next day sure his IP is prolly different, but the people who argue with themselves on the forums would be easy to spot.

So instead use 50 web proxies to browse. Anything tied to IP is easily circumvented.
