Good news for people with powerful enough PCs to run it. I have no plans to spend over $1000 on a new PC but I do have an Xbox One so the PC release does nothing for me directly.

Klumpen0815: Deliberately breaking compatibility to Win7/8 to coerce people into "upgrading". There is no technical reason for this.
This is a DirectX11 game since it was written for the XBone from what I gathered.
I honestly wouldn't expect Microsoft to release their games to their X360 now. Same train of thought here. The DirectX 11 requirement is by far not the only thing separating the game between Win8 and Win10 as far as I understand, but regardless, it's really understandable why they put it on Windows 10, exactly as you claimed, to get demand up for Windows 10. However, I'm not sure what's exactly wrong about that. It's their product for their own system. This is a DirectX11 game since it was written for the XBone from what I gathered.
What I'm worried about is the third parties going for Win10 Store while leaving DRM-free behind (unless I could find a way to play with Win10 games DRM-free).

Given how very few third parties, outside maybe some Indy and CDP, cares about DRM-Free I doubt it will make that much of a difference... Also technically it would be possible to have DRM-free Windows 10 store apps: Like Android (and unlike Windows 8) you can enable side-loading on Windows 10.

It's function as a fishing lure may be the only reason it even got ported. MS has been using everything they can think of to get people to upgrade. This is a DirectX11 game since it was written for the XBone from what I gathered.
I thought the system requirements for it were supposed to be surprisingly low, or are you speaking more about the state of your current rig than the kind needed to run it?

Indeed, but the problem is, I know of none an app that actually took advantage of sideloading to make a difference, so I can't tell anything.

Plus, I run Windows 7 and some games do not work well with certain graphics card. I actually had to put in for a refund for Day of the Tentacle because, according to GOG support, it does not work with my graphics card.

With all that BS Microsoft have been trying to pull during the years i think i'm starting to get aller.. aaa... aa.. Ahtchoo!
This is exactly the same they did with Halo 2 and Windows Vista in an attempt to force people away from XP. How typical of them.
I fear we will see much more of this with Windows 10 and UWA.
Edit,
2nd attempt, forum ate the text leaving the post blank :p

If the core goal behind DRM-free is to allow uncomplicated access to the games you buy in the future, then this Windows 10 store app business makes things more complicated to accomplish that goal.
That said, I would be tempted to get baited in on this one, but I don't have a system that qualifies for win 10 that could run it. I guess my fighting game addiction will have to suck it up and turn to something else for its fix.

Deliberately breaking compatabilty, wouldn't be a first. Halo 2 I have never got to play - Vista only and I wouldn't even infect an image with that OS. This is a DirectX11 game since it was written for the XBone from what I gathered.
As for this game, never heard of the series, looks all flashy with lots of pretty shaders, so no loss from my side.

Zero interest in moving to Windows 10. That stupid bloody Metro UI!!! Tried it, don't like it...... What is wrong with Win7?
And buying direct from Microsoft? No thanks...... Anyone heard of GFWL? Yeah that went well.........
Would like to get it but only if it were DRM-Free and Win7 compatible
