Hi all!

I just want to bring attention to this game that is curently collecting funds on kickstarter.

Game is called: "Extinction Protocol"

I'm not the autor. Just fan and supporter of the project. And i want this game to be made!

Gameplay will be interesting mix of Tower defense, Survival and Exploration .
You will play as abandoned builder drone, who re-activate self in post-apo world and starts searching for what happened. You only skill will be building, so as you travel through wasteland you must build defenses to defend yourself - this is the TD aspect of game.
One of the interesting aspects of the exploration - you will be able to capture various kinds of radio signals and transmissions and listen to them. I loved catching transmissions in Wasteland 2, so this is one of the selling point for me.

For more information check poject "Extinciton Protocol" on kickastrter.
Sorry, link was removed by staff :(

If you have some questions, you can also ask developers directly on their discord channel:

If you like it, please support and spread the word!

And of course, they are offering DRM-FREE version of game on day one ;)

This honestly just looks like a Nifflas game; along the lines of NightSky due to the absolutely minimal use of color and basic mechanics. But instead of a ball, this is a weird drone.
I don't know, it looks the average game to me and from what i have looked at nothing is really standing out. There's also the fact crowdfunding has really died for me the past year with all bullshit surrounding it, if the game where to turn out to be really good and gain traction.

Aaand you lost me...TD is one of the most boring genres (IMHO!).

But all the luck to the devs, and much fun to you when you can play it one day. :)

NightSky is different game. In NightSky you just travel forvard.

In this game you have your bunker where you returning. You can build defenses and stationary weapons, turrets, etc... Enemies will be raiding you.

I understand. Like any other genre, TD isnt for everyone.
But i'm sucker for good TD games. On of my most favorite games is: "Harvest: Massive Encounter".
Perfect game... shame it isnt on GOG.

I backed their previous project, Godforsaken Scavengers, a nice physical card game, but I'm nor really convinced I'd like this one, although it looks good enough...

Did you try Defender's Quest? I don't like TD games, generally, but Defender's Quest was really good. I've heard this sentiment echoed frequently and I wonder if people who do like TD also like DQ. Or if DQ is just a TD game for people who don't like TD games.
Looks nice. Wish them best of luck. Maybe they can speed up funding by publicly denouncing Epic exclusivity and make not going Epic exclusive part of the core principle of the game.

I didn't know Defender Quest. Right now i'm looking on gameplay videos and i can tell, that i dont like the graphic stylization. This cartoony/anime/happy stuff isnt my thing. But maybe i'll try it for gameplay. From videos it looks interesting.

Hmm, i wouldn't be afraid about Epic exclusivity. They doing small game for a specific audience. And i'm sure they dont want alienate their supporters with such stupid decision.
But i mention your suggestion on their forums. Maybe it's good idea to point it out.

BTW, in my opinion, projects that promise on kickstarter DRM-FREE version and then just before release date they switch to EPIC only model. This thing shoudl be treated as "customer deception" and punished accordingly.

Should; but won't. Shenmue 3 & Phoenix Point killed a lot of ppls interest in trusting Crowdfunded projects.
