I thought he was playing in MLB?! Anyway, Lakers needed a center so I think Bigfoot will be a good addition. They could even form the second "twin towers" with Mozgov, after David Robinson & Tim Duncan!

HunchBluntley: Just struck me as funny, that's all. :) I don't actually even recall any previous basketball threads/discussions. I'm sure there've been some, but most of the (very little) sports talk around these parts seems to be about soccer (naturally), American football, hockey...maybe baseball...racing, once in a while...the Olympics, probably...and that's about it.
Also, according to my calculations, at least 66.6666% of mentions of sports (the "American" ones, at least) in this forum were by tinyE. :P
Yes, I was surprised that basketball is not a popular sport around GOG. I tried to attract tinyE to the thread so that the thread does not die and he brought us the Bigfoot! :)

What about this one? The dunk contest was the closest to watching a replay of a real contest, in a time where you had to stay awake all night to watch the All-Star and, if you were lucky, could record it in a VHS tape.

YES, that's too! I know the feeling of those VHS days. I'm a Lakers fan and I recorded a few Lakers games back in the day. I also love Lakers versus Celtics and the NBA Playoffs (I even wrote a review about it 16 years ago! Please don't read it, it's awful. But I like the bottom line: "Despite the lack of really good computer opponents this is the must-have computer basketball game whether you like basketball or not!")
