Receiving Loud and Clear.

Kerbal Space Program, the physics-based, space exploration simulator, has been updated to version 1.2 "Loud and Clear". Apart from a space rocket full of fixes, it launches plenty of neat features and additions including:

- CommNet: Build an autonomous communications network and start transmitting science!
- KerbNet: Sent out reconnaissance satellites to scan for biomes, anomalies, and other points of interest.
- A reworked Fuelflow System to better control how your vessels use their fuel.
- Wheels now behave much more dependably in all the vehicles that use them (like rovers and aircrafts).

Besides those, the game engine has been upgraded to Unity 5.4 and Kerbal Space Program also received a whole bunch of tweaks and re-calibrations that are guaranteed to take your space misadventures to a whole other level. Or even planet.
You can read the detailed changelog here or watch this nice trailer highlighting the main features:

And %40 discount on Steam but not on here ? http://store.steampowered.com/app/220200/

Weird *_*
I had to give up on this game because re-entry got to be too big of a pain. It would be nice if they fixed that, which would mean making it less realistic, so I guess that's out. :P
I did not play with it much after buying it last December , I was turned off by the fact that I had to manually control my rocket. I'd much prefer having an on board computer (that I can override) that I pre program to do the right thing at the right time, like turn rocket 13 degrees two minutes after launch. If the flight fail then I just need to adjust the program.

In any case I'm installing the latest version and will give it another go.
Great! Nice additions to the game. Time to sink another 100 hours in KSP I guess... :)

There is a mod for that if I'm not mistaken. This must be it: https://mods.curse.com/ksp-mods/kerbal/220221-mechjeb

Have you tried mechjeb? Its automation goes way beyond that, but one doesn't have to use all its features after all.

Edit: And then there's kOS , which I think is a nice middle ground between mechjeb and manual, although I haven't used it myself.

you can adjust the level of re-entry heat in the difficulty settings

Yeah, I gotta retry that.
Maybe when I'm done with Zeus I'll go back to it,

Thanks immi. :D
Will this game ever get a 50% discount or something similar?

It was -40% during the previous sale. Maybe it'll have a bigger discount during the next big sale, but considering its popularity, I wouldn't hold my breath. In any case, KSP is worth it even in full price, let alone at -40%.

Thank you, I wasn't sure if something like that already existed in the game and I hadn't discovered it. I'll check them both.

Why? Is the problem overheating or your vehicle is uncontrollable/unstable on reentry?

This is wrong game for you. Consider No Man Sky.
Also why would you want to override a board computer, if you refuse to learn how to fly?

No, parachutes. Used to be you went up, you came down, you opened the chute, you landed. Now the angle/speed/altitude all have to be very specific. You can get around these by using secondary chutes to slow you down in order to open your main one, but it's kind of pain when I'm just testing basic builds, grabbing some spare research points, and trying out different rocket combos.

Honestly I just think I suck at it. I have put in countless hours and the farthest I ever got was to orbit the Mun, and get back....which I barely did. :P

Don't be ashamed about that. I haven't gotten much further than that myself. Occasionally, I succeed at landing a craft, but most of the time, all I do is launch stuff, and manage to get them in the orbit of my own choosing. But I still have tons of fun, even though I suck at it. :P

I'd want to be able to override it in cases where I realise I programmed it wrong.
