Anyone feeling at home in Europe of today - the quite proud result of enlightenment (itself result of renaissance and reform) - will most likely not feel to hard put to justify why hanging of an environmental campaigner is unjust, and pretty horrible.

It rather is a moral stance meanwhile. And not effort.

I find stabbing of Hentriette Reker as bad as hanging of Ken Saro-Wiwa - even if the former was less successful, from the perspective of not eliminating the target.

But maybe you are disenfranchised about both eh??

I take it that you post this from the position that e.g. Salem witch trials are an accepted and expiated miscarriages of justice.

Loading more and more stones unto one's chest unto when breathing stops - for witchcraft! no less, is not just.

So Salem will be remembered forever for miscarriage of justice.

And if I find it as rude a miscarriage of justice to hang someone for environmental activism - well, at least US could see it as diplomacy of common moral ground? ;-)

227: They have a history of making threads/posts about their pet causes, only to greet anything but complete agreement (and sometimes even that) with completely unrelated accusations. That's a quick way to burn bridges, and the moral grandstanding isn't exactly a great way of making friends, either.

So they started this thread already on thin ice with some people.

There have been a lot of miscarriages of justice. Memorialize them on their dates and move on. Beating a dead horse serves both you, and the person you are supposedly memorializing, no favors. The more you go on about this, the less I care about this person. If you really think antagonizing people is serving your goals, I think you are sadly mistaken.

Um, @700+ you ask?

I am a girl gamer (RPG unconditional)- and I love it; and also know that best boy-gamers that I know, my bro, included, would find it piss poor to love it less!

I think that most of us have brothers, sisters - and would rally about inclusive and deep game immersion.

I am a committed PC gamer; and think that Unity engine is a great!!

Yet, indeed - I hate inequality, and I am a socialist. That is all.

And I hate, of course, if anyone is hanged; but especially if it was non-violent environmental campaigner. What bothers me additionally very deeply is that the Dutch Royal Family owns material amount of shares in Shell - but as the Dutch tax payers fund the royal family, they probably never were asked if hanging nine humans for oil was the moral compromise they quite accepted...
