Thanks everyone :)

I hope GOG sees this thread and get more JRPGs to increase the verity of games on it
Damn right. GOG should be bold and brave and FIGHT FOR ALL WEEBS IN THE WEST!
jut play elminage gothic and dragons dogma brah

dragons dogma is broken on her though and has a galaxy only pawn pool, go get it on steam instead
Trails in the Sky 1-3 100%

Also Cthulhu Saves Christmas is made by an American developer but is very JRPGish.
Recommended non-japanese JRPGs:

Anachronox
Costume Quest
Silver is another nice JRPG: https://www.gog.com/game/silver
I gave in and got Persona 4 Golden on steam.
Pretty good so far.

But I agree, we're hurtin here in terms of JRPGSs.
At one point Grandia 1 was gonna come here too, but that's gone.

I would like Breath of Fire and Golden Sun lol

Uh, how exactly would Silver be an JRPG? It's a (W)ARPG...

(Wonder if this thread will be closed due to being necroed too.)

Which thread was closed due to being necroed? As far as I'm aware, that's almost never happened here.

Here's an example, even asking for anything of the sort to be reported...
And a second. And third.

Thanks. Well, I see it was the same person who opened up the last two.

I think there's no reason to go locking around forum games that get reopened (esp. when they've been gone for a few months and then they appear again, that happens often), but I understand if old threads like the last one here don't, since the OP most likely got their answer already.

Deadmarye: [...]
How good are Zwei and Zwei Zwei(lol) ?

I've heard great things about the Trails serie and Tokyo Xanadu Ex, though I'm less sure the last one would please me.

I've recently played Mary Skelter : Nightmares which I also did not like due to its visual novel presentation (some sequence were too longs right from the start.)

It's not a "JRPG" in the sense it wasn't developped by a Japanese dev but Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator, while old (1999) isn't bad at all, and as you can see from the Artstyle, it's inspired by JRPGS. It's at -80% during the sale. For a buck or so, it's a good deal.
Rule of thumb is, that GOG is not such a good place for JRPG fans. Many releases are more in the 7/10 area, which usually means they are not terrible, but they might leave you wondering why you play this instead of the abundant selection available on Steam for example.

Zwei is a mixed bag. The combat is very basic, essentially consisting of attacking and dodging, with some likable characters. I eventually got into the game, but it's really a hit or miss I would think, more like a 6/10 game that just clicks with some.

Both Xanadu games are also some genuine 7/10 games. The first is a bit of an action RPG with very limited build variety. The second one has an enjoyable action combat system but everything around it feels a bit like a bare bones Persona copy. Writing, characters, etc. are all not terrible, but don't make it beyond serviceable either. There is a fast forward button and I use that for much of the conversations.

I only played the first of the Tales games but really liked it. The closest comparison to me would be Grandia 1, although the combat is slightly weaker (although similar).

Why does GOG list that game as "Action" when the description prominently describes the game as being turn-based?

Not sure the exact reasons, generally I would think "Action" is a pretty broad term anyway. However, the combat has some "action wheel" system where an arrow goes once around in a circle and you have to press a button in the right area to hit properly. I think there is also a action combat portion in some minigame.
I gave the game a try before and wouldn't recommend it. Characters make and story make little sense, gameplay is repetitive and that action wheel portion makes the game stressful for all the wrong reasons.

This also reminds me of some other JRPG games here:
https://www.gog.com/game/pier_solar_and_the_great_architects
https://www.gog.com/game/evoland (some JRPG portions)
https://www.gog.com/game/heroland
https://www.gog.com/game/soul_saga

Evoland is pretty decent, although sometimes a bit too much concerned with style over the substance of the games it references. Pier Solar is utterly mediocre. Heroland and Soul Sage are stunningly bad...

I have no idea why anyone would rate Soul Saga positively. I gave it a try, but it plays like an early Alpha version at best with nothing hinting that this will improve a lot.

Heroland takes apparently 50 hours or so to finish despite having no gameplay to speak of. Despite it's nice style, everything else is incredible slow and repetitive with little to do both in and out of combat. Would strongly advice against the latter two games.
