So, what does the gog community think? Did our hero get Epstein'd or did he off himself before they could get to him?

Absolute legend either way.
What a wild ride was the life of him.

Sure, "Total protection" might be somewhat misleading. But the one time I actually had trouble on my laptop (not actually a virus, but some kind of browser hijack changing my starting site iirc), it happened because I had ignored McAfee's warning and downloaded something from a site flagged as dangerous. So at least it's not a totally useless product (granted, it was pretty useless for actually solving the problem after it had happened).

Something that was dead, But he never finished his sentence..
I think that once you become above a certain level of wealthy, you are invited to join a hidden class of hedonists that enjoy their drugs, yacht's, under-age sex and other criminal activity without conscience. I think that these monsters are reliant on each other's co-operation with respect to keeping each other's secrets. I think that these people are usually above the law and mostly invisible to us normal folks. I think that if one of them f*cks up badly enough to get imprisoned, it worries the rest of them because of what might be said/revealed. I think this is why Epstein died, and very possibly why McAfee died. Judging by how the Epstein case was handled, I think the US justice system is complicit.

I also think that this is pure speculation and I offer no supporting evidence other than human nature and the rare peak behind the curtain you see in the media.

My uncle (an insurance man at the time), was visiting a client in a super posh car showroom. While waiting, he sat in the driver's seat of a top of the range Rolls-Royce. (Why wouldn't you, right?).

A salesman approached him and, caught off-guard, my uncle asked 'What does it do to the gallon?'. The salesman's response was the same as my response to your question.

"Sir. If you have to ask, you can't afford it."

That salesman is a moron, he should have provide a suitable answer instead. You never know who is the real person in front of you or what other people are his/her close friends / relatives, plus such replies might ruin the reputation of the firm.

No one asked for my opinion but here it is.

This happened decades ago. Before MPG or climate change was a big issue. And this sort of 'customer' service is not uncommon. Some sales assistants look down their noses at you and would rather have you out of the shop than engage with you, if they suspect you are too poor. It doesn't do to clutter the place with peasants when you're primary demographic is the wealthy.
McAfree tweeted many times over the years about a "Kill Switch."

I guess we'll see

Some lords love to dress and look like *peasants*, some peasants might become the lords. And visiting lord might reconsider buying anything at all if he hears such a *professional* reply from a salesman. I agree that each place should look after certain clients but I don't think Rolls-Royce salesmen have to put up with lots of loitering low class citizens.

He claimed he didn’t. Also claimed conspiracy against him. Who knows. Looking at the crap going on now, I wouldn’t put things past any government. Anyways, not getting into that subject. Whichever way you look at he was a character.
