"Good", right. I believe that there are some good jedis but the Jedi order was rotten to the core, ignorant of all the injustice that suited the big players of the Republic. They were little more than armed clerks, usually spending their time solving border disputes and shit, while simply tolerating any true injustice such as slavery. Exterminating the Jedi order was the best thing that could possibly have happened as these free roaming zealots were both instrumental for maintaining the perverted status quo and a threat to anyone's individual safety.

Although I like the redesigned X-wing in the new movie, I always liked the TIE fighter and the Y-wing far better.

Not to mention being on the imperial side you get big ass weaponry which sucks power out of suns, whose got a light saber big enough to stop that :o)

Although, they really should stop advertising the weak spots on it, I mean really, learn by mistake and all that.

I always say that Vader is overrated, and Tarkin was the real villain of Episode IV. And was way more scary than Vader. Anyone woud be scary wearing that armor. Tarkin was wearing fucking slippers and could still intimidate the fuck out of everyone.

Shit is right :D I don't think they were all about giving you choice, seeing how mass murdering children was part of the job description, and on your very first day no less. And than you'd die anyway, either because your master found a better student, or because your student got tired of you.

Well, I'm playing Dark Force II right now and mostly using the lightsaber as an afterthought so...

I liked the Jedi best in the original movie, when their powers were relatively subtle to the point that you could believe that people like Han Solo would scoff at their "hokey religion". Jedi using the Force like freaking Dragonball characters is just dumb and devalues all the non-Jedi characters.

It really is in DF 2 now that I think a bout it, an afterthought. I think that's why I was so impressed with Outcast when I played it because the sabre actually became the best weapon in the game once you learned how to use it.

I only liked the super-jedi in the original Clone Wars cartoon, but that's because it's just something that looks better in a cartoon than live action, and Tartakovsky was very good with visual storytelling, and using that to the shows advantage. I totally agree about the movies, the prequels went way overboard with the Jedi (and Sith).

And politics... it's insane, the original trilogy was about the war between two huge factions with different political ideologies and managed to tell its story without any political exposition. The prequels were all about jedis and almost the entire plot revolved around unbelievable boring-ass political intrigues that were so shittily written that they only made all the characters appear even dumber. God fucking dammit.
