In other words, if you are selling a game there, you can put it on "sale" for *higher* than the normal amount.

Speaking of which, has there ever been a case on gog.com where the sale price was higher than the regular price?

I think it was Guillaume Rambourg who, in an interview years ago, said that he wanted GOG to do an "anti-sale", where every game would be 50% more expensive, with the message "play the ones you already have!".

In other words, itch.io are joke thieves.

IIRC, gOg had a PWYW sale a few years back, so that kinda (?) qualifies. Though I don't know if one could enter an amount higher than the regular retail price... so maybe it doesn't qualify.

In other words, I barely have any idea what I'm talking about. ; )
Why the hell is the OP downrated?

Cretins with grudges and too much free time.
Wouldn't a reverse sale in actuality be you paying me to take your product? Just saying.

Reminds me of Steam market. Buy cheap items, sell them with higher prices.

Lots of rep system abuse and people with grudges. Both combine to make a deadly, sadistic combination. Honestly, downrating should die.
GOG should make a cake sale, you pay more and get a piece of cake too. I still remember the old GOG comercial where they promised cake when you buy a game; I am still waiting for my cake. THE CAKE IS A LIE ;-)
Itch.io's post about their "reverse sale" concept was posted on April Fool's Day. I wouldn't take it too seriously.

The new.dlc for baldurs gate, or the insomnia sale ee editions versus todays ee sale.
