OldFatGuy: Apparently my ex-wife follows this logic. She says she's 38. (still) (again) (and again) (....)
Maybe you should surprise her one day and bring her 20 (or how many missing years there are) cakes for her to blow, celebrating all her missed birthdays! I bet she will be so pleased... or not, having lost her young age.

I recall there are some (PC?) RPGs where that actually happens. You play long enough, you start becoming weaker etc. due to your character's age.

Yeah, one of those games is Chronos: Before The Ashes. Everytime you die you get older. But being old also has some benefits. I have this game here on GoG but I haven't played it yet, I just watched reviews before I bought it :)

I know with certainty that this one has that bug, err.. feature, as well as RL. Personally, I consider it a bug. :)

I was almost sure it would have been e.g. Wizardry 7/Gold, but it was probably Darklands, as you said.

I started playing that game a long time ago but didn't really get far, I guess I found some more interesting games. No reason to continue that game anymore, my character must be probably 150 years old by now and can't lift a finger against the enemies.

(Actually, now I remember that, apart from not really understanding what I was doing in the game, I was really put off by the odd fonts used in Darklands, making big walls of text hard to read? Maybe I have to recheck if that was the case, but I recall being unhappy of the "fancy" low-res font, which felt gimmicky and irritating.)
