I'm new on GoG and for me the system of friends dosen't give me the opportunity to play with my mates or find guys able to play with... I'm looking for Mount and Blade warband friends yolo :)

Breja: Fortunately I don't need my friends to use GOG in order to play Worms with me, and that's basically the only game I want to share with them, so it's not much of a problem for me.

Anyway, few of my friends even play games anymore. They "grew up" or some shit, I don't know.

Long live the fighters!

Actually, summonig a Shai-Hulud would be an awesome new weapon to add to Worms.

Except when you are your own enemy, in which case all of your enemies are actually your friends. So keep your enemies even closer and throw them a party!

If you are your own enemy, and your enemies are your friends, doesn't that make you your own friend?

Of course it does! That's why I always say conflict is counter-productive. We all end up being friends no matter how you look at it!

Microlight: but for now it's so hard to convince friends to use this platform,
In my experience, giving them a game (usually a freebie from a sale) is a good remedy for that.
Good luck convincing them how to figure it out, though. Galaxy, as much as we hate on it here, is usually a good method of luring them in with "Look, see how easy it is?"
avatar
Microlight: Is there any way here to do something like that?
It depends.
On Steam, as you mentioned, there's a crapton of uber-popular multiplayer games which you can jump into and find someone, but here, there's very little considering that this is a DRM-free store and most of the games available are single-player. Meet somebody on multiplayer, and for most games, chances are still that it'll be someone using Steam.
So far as the best way to get to know other GOG users, well...you're looking at it. The forum is your best bet. We're nice folks, the disadvantage being that the community tends to be distrusting of newbies (meaning the whole "let me add some random person" tactic commonly seen on Steam and other places will only get you weird looks here) and the fact that many here don't do multiplayer games (if that's what you're looking for).
Your next best shot is the Discord server. I dunno if you're familiar with Discord or not (it's a bit like a modern IRC but with far more capabilities, including a voice chat option), but Pooka's server (there is no "official" GOG server) tends to have a higher amount of multiplayer users as well as a tighter-knit sort of atmosphere. It's pretty easy to start or jump into a conversation depending on who's online.

Microlight: I don't even know, someone has GOG
in my friends or not
You can't import friends here.
avatar
Microlight: Seriously, do you have some people in friends on GOG?
Are they from real life? Or did you met them here?
Nearly all of the people in my friends list come from either the Discord server or the forum. There's one or two people I know from real life, although they rarely, if ever, use GOG or even play video games in general.

timppu: In situations like this, one has to stop and ask themselves:

"Are they truly my friends?"

A friend who doesn't lend a helping hand when you are in a dire need, or a friend who doesn't join GOG even if you nicely ask them to, shows how much he really cares for your well-being and feelings.
I agree, if OP's friends don't want to join him on GOG, they obviously aren't real friends. He should break off contact with them. Gaming is more important anyway.

I bring too many friends to this platform.

Microlight: I love GOG, i love the fact this is company from my country,
but for now it's so hard to convince friends to use this platform,
and it's very depressing i cant share my GOG experience with anyone.

Don't you have this problem? :)
I've found posting in the games forum really helps. I had no friends, but started friend finder threads on the games I was playing on GOG. I got about 10 friends from each game. It's really hard to convince most Steam users to come over, wich is sad. GOG treats us way better.

I think if they add player profiles, and a screenshot wall it will really help.............(yet keep it optional, some people don't use Galaxy)

If you read into some of the posts here you'll see part of the problem. GOG regulars think that you can only be friends with someone if there's some benefit/profit off of it. You have to be there to play games with them, or make jokes/entertain them, or provide some type of value to them on a regular basis. They expect "friendship" to be based on such contingencies.

For the rest of us there are no strings attached. Invite sent if you're interested. ;>
