The only ones that can be called movies are Ink and The Frame. GOG can still fix it but they're too spread apart on support tickets, Galaxy, and other behind the scenes mischief to care for that department. Their original mission with games was to bring back titles that couldn't be obtained otherwise (or without difficulty). Their movies need to start the same way. We need 720-1080p black and white movies, technicolors, kung fu flicks, westerns, and work their way up to modern films and television.

They already work with some of those companies anyway. It shouldn't be a problem but it would have been significantly easier if they didn't sully the pool with all of those obscure nerdities and college crap projects first. No idea what they were thinking or why they felt so desperate early on to agree to those.

IronArcturus: People come to GOG for games, not movies. GOG wasn't able to get any big-ticket movies since none of the studios wanted to release their movies DRM-free. I think it would make sense for GOG to just drop all the movies and focus solely on games.
I agree. Like many others i just want to buy games on GOG and i'm absolutely not interested in buying movies on GOG.

Who is ready to buy movies here whereas you can find some dvds for almost nothing in garage sales, second hand shops or with a huge discount on internet ? There is no hardware or compatibility issues contrary to games and the only drm is the regional lock (zone 1, zone 2...) but the difference between the versions are ridiculous (cover, some bonus...).

The GOG movie section is dead, let it rest in peace !

Honestly, I didn't even claim the freebie one the was offered during a previous sale. A movie in my GOG games shelf? No thanks. :P

Honestly, I would like to see more titles in the movie section, especially old-school 1970s/80s anime. I REALLY feel like watching some classic Devilman (Toei TV version, not the 90s OVA series)

I think movie section on GOG is definitely dead. On CD Project’s CEO and CFO chat with investors on 10 th of March 2016 there was a question about that. Below is my translation

English:
Question: Strategy does not mention anything about movies and series on gog. Has company dropped the project?
Answer (by CFO): We are focusing our efforts on things that we do the best, meaning game distribution.

Polish:
Q: W strategii nie ma słowa o filmach i serialach na gogu. Czy spółka porzuciła ten projekt?
A: Skupiamy się na tym, co robimy najlepiej, czyli na dystrybucji gier.

It turns out that films that premiered at Art's house are a bit too niche for us users.

Not an art house. Some guy named Art(s) house. With 3 couches.

Now if say MST3K had appeared or some other thing like that, I'm sure people would have hopped. But turns out film people are nuts about DRM for some odd reason.
