Probably a question that's been answered by many, many times. But seeming as I have played neither, i'm curious which i should buy. Diablo III, or Torchlight. I love looters, and I know that a person who loves looters should have played Diablo by now.. (didn't get into PC gaming but only a few years ago.)

So which is it..

Diablo III.

Torchlight II just looks.....unmemorable and cartoony. Even Diablo has more interesting lore than this.

Diablo 1 and 2 are two of the greatest games ever.

Diablo 3 isn't! :P

Point being, Torchlight isn't as good as D1 and 2 but that's not fair to TL because D 1 and 2 are so good. In turn, TL is better than D3 which isn't saying much because D3 is (relative to it's namesake) shit. If D3 had been part of another series I might be more positive but it's like they took everything special and different from the 1st two so they could dumb it down.

It sounds like everything they did with World Of Warcraft. Blizzard is known for pandering to new players. :P

I heard Diablo 3 was pretty raunchy at launch, but i've also heard they fixed everything by now.

Unless Bard's Tale counts, then it would be somewhere in the top 3.

Especially since Humble was selling a drm-free version of it. Which means there is nothing stopping the devs to sell it here.

Though the always online DRM is still a thing YES the game is fixed. Auction House is gone, gameplay is fluid, etc.
