DaCostaBR: Except that it's not really bad at all considering it's mostly overpriced costume packs no one needs. Call me when another company tries to sell their game's ending as DLC.

Cyraxpt: Was there any other example besides Divinity 2?
Off the top of my head: Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Asura's Wrath by Capcom.

EDIT: Kinda Mass Effect 2 and 3 as well.

tinyE: Technically it was fleecing but Jason had no choice; King Pelias ordered him to do it.
I understood that joke ! I'm smart !

mindblast: Pillars of Eternity was on my Wishlist and i was looking forward in getting it on this sale. But when i saw the expansions, one already released, one that will be released in the future, i don't want to get involved into that. Because i expect that they will release expansions at the same rate. If that's the case, i don't see any difference in asking for an monthly fee in order to play the game and giving payed expansions every few months.
They won't. The second part of White March is likely the last content for PoE. They're going to move to PoE2 and another as -yet unnamed game.

I understand some of your complaints with DLC, hell I even share some of them, but I think it's misplaced with PoE. They planned an expansion right from the start (it was even in the higher Kickstarter reward tiers). And no, they didn't have it done when the game released. Nor is the second part just laying around waiting to build up tension and milk their customers. They decided to break it into two parts so their player base didn't have to wait a year before getting the new content in the expansion, and people were given the option of buying it all at once for a few bucks less than buying the two parts separately. Honestly, I don't see the sinister, unfair motives with this particular game and developer that you do. But, as noted, in the end you should vote with your wallet.

Forgot Asura's Wrath, that's a good one but as for ME 2 and 3 i'm not sure, i didn't play the dlc's and i felt like i had the ending.

Although the "True Ending" was pretty damn awesome as well.

Never played the DLC either. The bridge between 2 and 3 was a DLC without which the beginning of 3 doesn't make much sense and, speaking of sense, the motivation and nature of the Reapers is also in a DLC, which I hear makes the ending slightly less asinine. Not the ending as DLC per se, but they both sound to me like pretty crucial story DLC that should have been included in the ending shipped with the game.

Oh, wasn't aware of that, guess that's why people are always looking for a sale on ME dlc... Meh, still fell like i had the complete story so i'm ok with it.

Btw, why are people downvoting the op? Because my guess (considering wpegg high rep post) is the whole piracy thing and for once it wasn't Bradley that mentioned that so i'm confused...

(not to say that it always bothers me seeing greyed threads when i know that i didn't visited yet)

KiNgBrAdLeY7: Well, since i am anticipating a certain game on Steam (the very last one i am ever getting there and it is not even for myself), i couldn't help but notice this game, Dynasty Warriors (i have played Warriors Orochi before so i was curious to check it out).

http://store.steampowered.com/app/278080/?snr=1_4_4__winter2015-featured

A game, whose DLC *ALONE*, cost 190 euros.

WhaaaT did i just see? Do my eyes play sick pranks on me? Am i just hallucinating? Please tell me i am mad and i am imagining things, i really NEED to hear that from you!?! If not, this is a shame, an outrage, an offense... Greed, pimping of DLC content and overpricing, do have their own limits and limitations, one point onwards! What did i just see, oh god, oh hell...

Someone please do explain to me, WHAT THE HELL I JUST SAW THERE! What is that? Why is that? How is that so? How is this allowed to exist? I understand nothing, please enlighten me...
Dunno why people are shoving downvotes on you, but here's a +1 from me to help dig you out of it, as well as an offer for a free copy of DLC Quest since now you can relate to it. To be even more ironic, I'll make it a Steam key.

mindblast: Someone that owns the DLCs will have better game than you, without them.
That line reminds me of something that happened back when I was an undergrad. My classmates and I went to this place for buffet with kebabs (for non-vegetarians and other veg stuff for vegetarians) twice. After that vegetarian members said they'd not visit that place again, their reasoning was not that their food was bad it was that non-vegetarians were enjoying it more than them. My point is why is some other guy's enjoyment of game your concern at all, if the game itself is bad then it is understandable to complain. Also It was clear from the start that the champion and royal packs won't have White March DLC.
