Seriously, what the hell is wrong with those devs? This piece of crap has been out for one and a half year now, (allegedly) DRM-free on Steam. It's ben sold off at 90% on Humble. And yet, it's not here. Do they hate taking money from gog customers or something? Jesus Christ!

DRM-FREE label is bad for business (of the devs). Small brands label (like GOG), especially when compared against a huge one like Steam, is even more bad for business (of the devs). We can safely assume that it is never coming to gog, either the expansion, or the updated classic 1. People tell one thing, then usually do another (politician style, it is so common out there, lol). No one abides by words and promises self-made, even if in public and well recorded, this is a given. Heh.

The devs said it was coming here eons ago, but it looks like they speak in terms of wishful thinking with disorganized lack of execution. I highly doubt it will come here now, and I'd be surprised if GOG even accepted it now as Steam has taken all of the sales window anyway and it has been deep discounted for like $1 or so.

IMHO, all developers really need to stay publicly silent about things like this and hire PR people or firms to avoid making promises that wont be kept. Wishful thinking is just hype, but without timely execution then it is just lies.

Funny thing is, it still has its own support page and devs have stated it would come here "very soon" (that was in October '15, by the way). As far as dev fuck-ups go, this one is colossal, even by gog standards.
How long has that support page been up?.

Yeah, I got the impression from talking with the devs that they are old-school and well intentioned but lacking in the execution and responsibility department, and/or the company is just completely mismanaged. Could be any other number of dysfunctional outcomes, but they're about as reliable as that friend that says they'll help you move to your new apartment on the 1st, then no-show+no-call and leaves you hanging and then when you confront them later the excuse train is all you hear.

I wont buy any more RWS games in the future if they ever release any, nor if they change their name or are absorbed etc. by some other company. Not because I don't want them nor out of anger or anything. Not even that I don't trust them, but rather I have complete lack of confidence in their ability to create and execute a plan in a timely manner and come good on promises they've made their customers repeatedly and that's just their way of doing things I guess.
I just heard from one of the devs. He said the game failed to meet gog's QA. IE there was some kind of bug.

LOLWUT

I swear, every year they come up with a different excuse for why this still isn't here.

And, bizarrely enough, that gog support page is still up and running.

I'm pretty sure Grargar wasn't doubting you but rather the dev's answer. Oh these devs...
