HereForTheBeer: Laid: is it worth getting?

viperfdl: Depends. The graphics are great but the gameplay is quite repetitive...
Not to mention the carpal tunnel...

You're focusing on the experience of the single-player campaign. This is the genre where multiplayer co-op really shines.

Specialise, or jack of all trades, age old question.

Not from a crazy one :P

Gotta consider the costs of a false rape accusation when she regrets it the next morning

BeatriceElysia: I figued out we missed threads like this, where people could get info about wheter or not to aquire certain game. This thread is design to share info about "is certain game worth getting"

I will start first:
Has anybody played (pc, k+m) Full Metal Furies, Tooth and the Tail, Night in the Woods, Aegis Defenders, Battle Chef Brigade?

nightcraw1er.488: I would imagine that those who reviewed the game would have played it. A thread like this isn't going to go anywhere, it's not structured enough to actually find anything, and will be subjective not just about the game but all the other things like the Dec, practices etc. Better to look at reviews from around the web and screenshots.
Trouble with reviews are they tend to be written by people who are very enthusiastic about any given game. Therefore there tends to be a bias in favor of the game. Of course there are exceptions but that seems to be the general rule, at least on GOG. This thread seems like a good idea to counter that problem

That's why I suggested to also check the "Games Finished in ..." thread. But I forgot to mention the Games Quit in 2018, Games Quit in 2017 etc. threads. If someone really disliked a game, they might write about it there.

Threads like this one can still be useful if you want quick and short opinions of people who usually don't write reviews or are still in the middle of playing a particular game. I sometimes start them during sales to ask about games I'm interested in, with mixed results. There are always users willing to help, if they are familiar with a game, but there's also a high risk of such threads quickly dying or getting derailed, as evidenced by this one ...

Vythonaut: Did you try a lan party with more than 3 players? It gets *very* interesting and there is no repetition at all. ;)
The problem is that on a LAN-parties there is always at least one idiot who doesn't keep his antivirus up-to-date or tries to plug his connector into the wrong hole...

I think that we do not need this thread. People need to realize that when you ask someone if it is worth to buy certain game, the answer most of the time is going to be just personal, subjective opinion. Rarely objective. What people can do is read a review or something, or read different reviews from reviewers in order to find the most objective one before buying the game.

Sorry to disappoint you but I just have a very vivacious imagination.

I don't know, but you look like a very computer literate person to me. :P
Is "It" worth getting?

If you're a Stephen King fan, I suppose it is.
