I remember wasting way too much time on that silly game.
Here, I'll try a phrase I found in a book:

Przeczytaj pokój.

Same here, somehow every one with a PC had that game. And although we had so many great titles, we often ended up playing this, taking turns...

Jon_Irenicus_PL: Truly? Maybe it was well known amongst enthusiasts. Like there are many obscure movies which gain a large following in some niche groups, like Blade Runner, and maybe they are later revisited and reappreciated.
From the wikipedia page:

"The game was a commercial success, considerably outselling the first Settlers title.[72] In the German market alone, by November 1996, it had sold 150,000 units.[73] By August 1997, it had sold over 500,000 units worldwide,[52] and roughly 600,000 by May 1998.[74] In August 1998, it was awarded the "Platinum Award" by the Verband der Unterhaltungssoftware Deutschland e.V. (VUD); an award given to titles costing DM55 or more, which sell over 200,000 units nationally within the first twelve months of their release.[72]"

Given the time it wasn't a niche game, but a huge success.

Nie gasowana, przyjaciel. Obiast! :)

And.. that's all the Polish words I know.
I sometimes like to do this.

For example, one game I've enjoyed, even if it has some serious issues, is Centauri Alliance. The game was developed by the designer of Bard's Tale 1 and 2, but it had some issues, and didn't become popular due to the lack of any 16-bit versions (in particular, there's no DOS version).

A somewhat less obscure game I've played is Rudra no Hihou, which is a JRPG for the Super Famicom where you can create your own spells by naming them; each name has some combination of characteristics. (You can, for example, have a weak spell that has a high MP cost, or (if you figure out the system well enough) a medium strength spell that costs only 1 MP.)

Breja: It's not obscure at all, and that's the point. It just another obvious bait thread by a well known troll.

morolf: I agree that Geralt/Jon has a history of writing trollish comments, but imo the basic question posed in this thread can be worth discussing. And maybe, just maybe Geralt/Jon is genuinely ignorant that Settlers 2 was quite popular in the 1990s, after all that was almost 30 years ago and he's always struck me as being one of the younger commenters here.
Indeed, in a certain age group and certain kind of crowd, the whole concept of PC gaming is obscure, so it's really a good point of discussion. I'm not sure if the OP was the best possible way to start the discussion though.

Anyway, if you are, let's say, 15 years old, and you keep playing PC games from the 80's or 90's, some people will undoubtedly consider you very weird. Obviously that doesn't mean that those games are bad as such, it's just the way it is.
