No, it's not okay to like Steam, because doing so just helps to forever perpetuate the permanent infestation of most PC games with the Steam DRM client.

If all gamers boycotted Steam because it is DRM, then the Steam DRM would quickly cease to exist, and hence it would plague PC games no longer.
No.
First of all, DRM isn't okay.
Secondly, they're also bowing down to China, but even more so. GOG is just the lesser evil there..
I'm sure I could rattle of a whole host of other shady and dubious facts, but who has the time.

PC gamers standing up for themselves will never happen, unless its about star wars.
Is it okay to like both GOG and Steam?

No, you have to dislike both and experience a mix of guilt and disgust when using them.

Well I don't think it is really about the platform but about the games. If you really enjoy a game and want to play it - buy it and play it no matter the platform.

If you care about DRM free games tend to choose GOG. Yes there are a bunch of DRM free games on steam too but it is simply not their focus. I personally like to support GOG with my money when I can get the game here and on any other platform I get it here. But if I really want to play it I dont think about some platform wars I just buy it wherever and enjoy the game.
Sorry, I'm not sure I understand. Why would it not be okay to like both?

Some of us are more pro GOG than Steam (i dislike and havent bought anything from them for years now). its ok to like both but many of us actually prefer GOG (not Amok who seems to like and advertise for everyone).
Like many, I am tempted to say NO, you should never like Steam only tolerate them at best, but honestly you are perfectly entitled to like whomever you want.

Personally I love GOG and tolerate Steam.

I see many benefits from GOG, but very few for me personally from Steam, with the main one being access to games I greatly want that aren't available at GOG ... but only if they are dirt cheap at Steam.

While I would never call it liking Steam, I do appreciate getting the odd free game there.
