So this is what I saw when I was searching for that link (the attached image). I searched other games ("gog lord of the rings" "gog cyberpunk" "gog cyberpunk 2077" "gog descent") and the not legit sight didn't show up as the second results. Most times it wasn't the top 5. So, maybe, just for puzzle agent 2 it's really popular but not others.

Kudos to Ebik_95 for asking if it's legit though. Most users most likely wouldn't.

Honestly, when I was in my late teens I wouldn't of expected pirated games to be on such a nicely done website unless it's a trick. IE installs trojans & what not. :D

This isn't difficult to figure out, this is just a bait by someone promoting the site incognito.

Thanks for the correction, +1. The law always says one thing, but practice is different which is what I presumed with developing countries anyway. Bootlegged pirated content is sold everywhere and people will freely share pirated content with others. Same with Canada; there are copyright laws that are loosely enforced. But people are either going to use a VPN or some other pirated content streaming website anyway just because it's so normalized.

I don't think this one is spam as there are many Iranian graduate students in Canadian universities and there's an actual human replying to comments and following the logic of responses. But I could always be wrong.

Well i am not sure how much of them keep up to date on updates. Most likely it would be the initial release, meaning there may be many bugs or issues that are resolved by owning the game to be updated.

On the other hand, if i got a game on say EpicGames and the game was DRM'd, annoying, needed the cliet or didn't work but the GoG version worked i'd easily get it from another source. So it depends on each person i suppose.

Ironcast i think it was, wouldn't work on my system but an older release non-Epic worked just fine...

In Iran there is no law which protects international companies, especially American companies. Law only protects Iranian companies. People are free to rob from foreigner companies there and international organizations have no jurisdiction there. For example, In Iran every PC owner(persons and companies) is using a cracked Windows I mean millions of users.

i'm pretty convinced that gog will go bankrupt maybe next year or in 5 years. so no matter how illegal that site may be, it will become really useful to get the gog games one has purchased.

I'd suggest seeing more of the world, especially third world countries. In general, it's not hard to get legal stuff provided you have the funds. Simultaneously, it's cheaper and easier to get a good enough version from some merchant's bootleg media stall in an open street market with very little law enforcement. Actually, this type of market is part of the reason why GOG was founded.

This forum is a target for spammers, so that's why everyone is very suspicious of new accounts. Also, some of us are anti-piracy because of the free rider problem. It's not fair for paying customers to expend hard-earned money for the same thing pirates don't pay for. And lastly, this forum is often used by grumpy 30+ yo people, so not the most hospitable type of people to give warm welcomes.

It´s just an concatenation of circumstances. Especially at weekends we have a higher activity of bots here. Usually they are recognizable through a few signs: The accounts are brand new, they have no unique avatar, and their first post is something like "Is this even legal? Find your free green card and new identity on site xy.com".

I don't think OP is a bot, just unaware. Also GOG must have known about these sites (at least two of them) for years (I'll see the sites linked in occasional GOG threads on /v/, though many posters say they buy from GOG); I suspect they are just unable to actually make any headway legally.

I'm not sure I'd even go that far. :P
