It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Not using it, not planning to. Never used the gog downloader either, browser download works just fine for me.

budejovice: So I guess I'm all for it -I can always find another community somewhere - as long as I can continue to browser download and then play offline only.

stg83: And here I thought you actually liked some of us budejovice, I can guarantee that you won't find a better community elsewhere despite the warts and all. ;)
I truly do like many of you, and I'm pretty sure you all are aware of that, but the number falls every day as the galaxy/w3 crowd drives them (us) away. A few threads in my favorites have yet to be invaded by the warts. :)

It sucks that the giveaway culture has been ruined beyond repair, though some might argue it was that way before I even arrived. I used to enjoy holding GAs quite a bit...

I installed it, didn't do much with it, quit letting it start up when a couple times it crashed a couple games trying to notify me of something . I'm not opposed to it, But I won't look at it again until it is more feature-rich.

I know you do and other as well ofcourse, was just teasing you. I certainly agree that with quite a few regulars leaving and the consequence of TW3 release bringing about unsavory elements, it is less then ideal and that is why GOG needs to do their part as well in trying to preserve the unique community spirit here by paying some attention towards the forum through appointing a dedicated community manager atleast.

Its unfortunate about the current situation with most giveaways but its certainly not a lost cause because of a few nitwits, as can be evidenced by the highly successful long running Community giveaway. :)

Personally if I wanted to have chat, connect online, and chat with friends, then I will use steam. I prefer GOG.com as a place to buy games old and new, indie or triple A that are not hindered by online connection, and forums are fine to discuss any topic about games or random stuff.

Riotact: Wont ever use it, Frankly the threads here about lost accounts scares the crap out of me.
damn, accounts actually have been lost due to gog galaxy?

Idk about this place, but CDProjekt Red in North America is hiring: http://en.cdprojektred.com/jobs/community-manager-north-america/

There is zero proof of that whatsoever... just people worried and think that because there seemed to be an uptake around Galaxy and the Witcher 3 release.
Not really; I have it installed but don't use it that much. Hopefully improvements to it lead to more "big-name" games showing up here.

I don't need it, so I haven't install it yet. And to be honest, I don't think I will.

thank you, just I thought I would've heard something like that on these forums if it was real.
Response to the initial question:

Yes, at least all of the Linux users since it's simply unavailable.
I don't think that I would use it as a Windows user either though.

I wish GoG would have put the effort into fixing their site instead of making something like Galaxy.
Was there a popular wishlist entry for a GoG client or was it done against the community's wishes?

Never tried it. Never intend to.

Enebias: Maybe you should change the topic name in "is anyone using Galaxy"? XD

BKGaming: According to GOG over a million people...
That's not surprising, it was the default way to install Witcher 3 according to the instructions, a lot of people didn't even realize they had a choice.

I'd be interested to see how many people are still actively using the client this month for instance.

Yes there was, and yes many people wanted it.

Considering they released a video saying how many achievements had been unlocked, and how much time had been played... I think we can at least assume a large portion are Galaxy users.

It was done because of the wishes of the community, specifically the following wishlist entry.

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/steam_like_client_program_for_gog_drm_free_games_and_bonus_content

It is linked by GOG themselves in the first post of the "One Million Wishes Granted" as one of the reasons for starting work on GOG Galaxy.
