_ChaosFox_: many of the more prolific members who left in protest (Licurg, StingingVelvet, MichaelLeung, orcishgamer) haven't returned.

Sanjuro: Wait, so Licurg left the forum in protest? Aw, man.
His Sacrifice shall not be forgotten.
Speak of the devil...

Wishbone: Speak of the devil...
Ah, shit. I knew it was too good to be true.

_ChaosFox_: GOG only intervened with the new ruleset when most decent folk had abandoned the forum, the community had essentially become an alt-right gaming centre and GOG gradually became associated with this.
avatar
Spectre: That was never the case.
To say so is an insult to the forums and other users who didn't flounce or try and enforce censorship by causing as much trouble as possible.
Actually, you're both right. lol

I'm impressed by your prowess. I tried using Adalia's fundamentals to search for Licurg and I failed.

Tytus-: ... every group has their fanaticals that should not be a representation of the whole.
Problem is probably that some groups may have more fanatics than others. There is no reason why the fanatical fraction should be distributed equally but our sense of justice may sometimes trick us into believing that there must be equally many bad guys on every side. This is probably not true. Anyway, I always draw the line between civilized discussions and pure hate speech. I stopped liking the GOG forum around 2015, when a guy wanted to have all Democrats (in the US) killed for starters and nobody else did say anything against it and GOG itself didn't gave a crap when I brought it to their attention. This was the moment when I decided that my time is too precious for that kind of thing.
First, something on-topic, or rather, something on the topic's title: isn't it overpessimistic? Shouldn't it have been "Is not all well at CDPR?".
With that out of the way,

Breja: I have to say, I find it the idea of Licurg, the guy who called me a cocroach and insulted my mother all because I didn't like the idea of GOG selling Hatred, a mass murder sim made by people associated with alt-right who later made a game about gunning down the muslim hordes invading Europe, leaving in protest of alt-right taking over the forum rather hilarious. Unless it was in protest of GOG actually moderating the forum.
Could have been. BTW, how's the moderation nowadays (aside from traditional spammer hunt) in your opinion? I recall fables22 seemed to be quite active in trying to establish and enforce forum rules but either I missed all the "fun" and stuff got removed before I could read it or not much has really changed.
Wha- He changed the game? :-(
And there I was, about to reply with "Nice tune. 'S been a while since I heard it last".
....this happened.

Plokite_Wolf: ....this happened.
Soon™ confirmed!
I noticed that Fables22 got the dreaded "Account information currently unavailable" on mouse-over. I hope she is just on vacation and will return.
Hmm, it seems GOG's Glasdoor ratings have dropped in the last couple months as well:

Seems even in GOG they have communication problems. The stuff about low salaries, I wonder if that's compared to other Polish companies or to U.S. As for the passive-aggressiveness and toxic co-workers, I can't think of a school I attended or place I worked that didn't have those kinds of people, that's just a part of the world.

That would be a very long holiday...

I would love to read the '[a]void at all costs' one.

I can see it only in Microsoft Edge for some reason.
Edit: and the rest of the cons.

Thanks a lot, SCPM (+1)! :)

The criticism hardly comes as a surprise.
