I agree that there should probably be an official channel, but so far this one is just as good.
I'm using the IRC plugin of the Miranda Instant Messenger. Most people seem to dislike it, but why should I use a seperate application when I already have one for ICQ and MSN that I can also use IRC with? Especially when the channels are so nicely included into the contact list :)

deathkitten: My PC is brokededed and I'm shopping for a new one but at the moment I'm using my Wii (you can plug in a PC keyboard in the back or use pointy virtualkeyboard thing) with a site called <span class="bold">www.mibbit.com</span>
I used to chat more with it at college and remembered it, I figure it will be useful to anyone else who wants to chat at work or just can't be bothered to install a chat program too
You just pick a name, select "Quakenet" from the server list bit (it's long but in alphabetical order), type in #gog in the channel bit then click connect/ok

Thanks for that link, helps a lot to get irc access at work without too much hassle :)

Heh I know, but what do we do when we are there? Does anyone here use X-fire?
I can come check out the IRC channel, because I'm curious, but I don't know.. i have a feeling I'll just go idle, because with X-fire while i'm working or playing a game, people can message me still without me tabbing out or setting up any scripts or whatever.. i'm not very good at irc really. I'd love to add people to X-Fire, I just worry about my insane blog posts I make, being taken too seriously. I'm a bit harsh, but work is rough.

Only friends and clan members can view my blogs. I get a little intense. Half of it is not to be taken serious, the other half is. What I mean is, deep down, under whatever I am writing there's a bit of truth to the emotion and a bit of just writing to an extreme (at times) as a way to let go off the anger and hate. It works out well for me, that's all that matters, right? Sometimes I get angry about stuff and go to write someone an email and tell them exactly how I feel and after I write the whole thing out, i delete it instead of sending it and I feel better.

Vargavinter: Got any good clients to recommend, besides mIRC?

I quite like XiRCON. I'm very picky with my programs and I've settled on that one for IRC. :)

Guys, don't come on IRC... it's terrible and you'd hate it. ;)
I use irssi (some crazy, Finnish IRC client).
