Agree, it's passed later this week.
Apparently a developer answered about a GOG release and posted this on their Discord on Saturday regarding a GOG release (taken from the Steam topic):

"it's not GOG's fault, I haven't even tried to do a build for GOG yet

we can't really be patching things every day with GOG and I wanted to make sure some extra stuff that needed to be finished in the game was actually right before sending it over"

There is no date for it yet.

Thanks to Damien Azreal on Steam for posting their reply on the topic:

I can't hate the developer for giving us an answer. But in other, they want to make sure the steam version is good to go before GOG.

Thank you for posting.

Thanks for the information!

I can understand that well and have enough patience to wait a little longer. The main thing is DRM-free and additional patch support in the future.

Thanks for the update! It is much appreciated.

I will take a polished experienced over a rushed experienced any day. There's nothing worse than being disappointed by an experience I've been chomping at the bit for. They only get one chance to make a first impression. I will wait for the GOG release.

Other devs do, though? I remember one Saturday earlier this year, ∆V: Rings of Saturn got 3 updates in the same day (update, hotfix, and a hotfix for the hotfix). That said, I don't mind waiting for a more stable release.

Maybe some developers are just more skilled or driven to releases on GOG.

It isn't a good look though. I presume the Steam version will get the same update the GOG version gets. Most sales occur immediately after release. It isn't good business for GOG to let this kind of thing happen over and over again. So even though GOG will get the more polished release, GOG won't have a competitive advantage for waiting for that release.

What can GOG really do? They don't have the power like steam to push developers around. I seen developers say releaseing games on steam was enough for them.

I can't remember what game, but one developer said he was not releasing on GOG because steam was enough. Said something like he would have to make store page for GOG and other bull for reason.

Idk what GOG can do.
Meh, I've waited long enough, I'll just buy somehing else instead. :P
