Breja: Why in the flying fuck can I still see some info like number of games in the library on profiles of people who I assume have everything set to private?! I have everything set to private and only me so no one should see a single, solitary piece of info on me, no matter how inconsequential.

It does still show the number of games (upper right corner).

Still no official annoucement. Thousands of users who don't know anything baout this left with all their info hanging in the open. Even users with everything set to private still have some of their info displayed. This is absolutely unacceptable.

I just... I can't. I can't. Someone take over, I don't even know what more to say.

The rest of the discussion is mostly tangents on and rehashing of that, with back-and-forths on just how bad this is, exactly what falls under the heading "personal information" under that European law, offering possible solutions to it, related disgruntlement about the recently introduced facebook login option (and possibly also about the facebook tracking script which is present on all gog.com pages nowadays?), and some unfortunate devolution into conspiracy theories.
You are kidding right? There is no sensitive personal data being released here. I'm all for the concept of the default should protect the user, not exploit. But this isn't against the GDPR.

Yeah, the least they could do is make all this garbage off by default. The world is truly controlled by disgusting extroverts.

I can only presume there was supposed to be some formal announcement before it was fully pushed, but it happened in reverse, as tends to happen with many things GOG.

We wanted to soft launch it and make all the necessary fixes, that's why the delay. Hope you like the feature.

It didn't on mobile, but it does when I request the desktop site. I don't see how that's a huge deal, but it would be nice to be able to turn it off too.
